QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 01:24 PM) I should add that I thought this was the most balanced debate of all of them. It seemed like each candidate was given close to equal time unlike the other debates where they favored Obama, Edwards, and Clinton. With this debate I found the other candidates far more enjoyable because they were actually able to talk! Part of the reason for that might be that they finally narrowed down the crowd to what, 6?

Please for God's sake someone ask Selig how Bonds could possibly have learned of a steroid test in advance.
-
Wow. Just took a moment to look at Roger Clemens's 1998 stats, which is the year that the Mitchell Report alleges he started using. The Splits are freaking remarkable.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) Since Sammy Sosa isn't on the list does this mean he's clean. Or does that apply only to those who played for the White Sox when they won it all? This clearly doesn't mean that either Sosa, the 05 White Sox, or anyone else not named was clean. In fact, it alleges that there were other people who were using who's names they couldn't get. But it is still a relief at some level that a lot of the guys from the recent world series teams haven't been connected with the networks that have already been broken up.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) It will be interesting to see if there is a reaction to Frank Thomas from this. I would hope he would be viewed as a true clean player that put up great numbers. Hopefully he is rewarded for an honest opinion and Bud gives him the 2000 MVP and he becomes a first ballot HOF member. Anyone find it odd that the White Sox are not as outspoken about the issue now as they were a few years back. I guess Frank lead that charge. Well, they haven't really needed to have they, once Congress and Selig actually got on the subject?

QUOTE(Vance Law @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) Yes, to get it straight on Karchner. Nothing says that he used them. To the contrary, he witnessed 2 teammates in their apartment (the 3 lived together) shooting 'roids. He also says that teammate(s) offered steroids to him (Karchner) but he never accepted them. He does not name the players who he witnessed. How is it so impossible to find out what teammates were living with Karchner at the time?

QUOTE(Linnwood @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:52 AM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major...Mitchell_Report Currently, Sammy Hagar of Van Halen is on the list I'm seeing.
-
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) It says he was OFFERED them and saw them used, no direct evidence that he used them. That sounds like he was asking someone else to inject him.
-
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) See, the problem with a list like this is the example of Matt Karchner. He's in the report as someone who willingly talked to the panel about members of the 1999 Chicago Cubs he personally saw inject - not because he himself used. But the phrase earlier printed in this thread presents him as both a supplier and as a user. I would certainly count him.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:43 AM) In the report it was listed as several players injecting. Mitchell says 250 players have tested positive, jesus. That includes the minor leagues.
-
QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:40 AM) what is taking them so long to produce a list. No idea. You'd think the press could type one up somewhere.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:28 AM) No Jurrasic? That would make me happy. Has anyone seen any member of our 2005 team?
-
QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:28 AM) Jimmy didn't buy steroids until he was on Tampa and in the minors for Arizona. Maybe those dongers made him want to get steroids though ha. That doesn't appear to be what the report says. The report says he sent Radomski a bottle while he was on tampa for testing. That does not mean he wasn't using them before he sent that bottle to Radomski; in fact, it suggests he was on it at least some time beforehand, because he was able to recognize that he got a crappy shipment.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:27 AM) Mike Cameron is not named in the report. However, he has tested positive 2x for amphetamine abuse.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:24 AM) . Therefore, if the report of this conversation is accurate Anderson correctly predicted the dates of testing, at least for his client Barry Bonds. JESUS F***ING CHRIST...Bonds got a warning? Oh you have so got to be sh*tting me. Wow.
-
Again repeating the "protect the best interest of the game" part. That sure sounds like it has to be aimed at Bonds, Clemens.
-
QUOTE(WCSox @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) Like Barry? If anyone falls under that exception, it's Bonds.
-
Mitchell urging the Commish not to take action based on past actions except in the worst cases.
-
QUOTE(daa84 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:13 AM) interesting to see how guys like bigbie who "ratted out" guys like roberts will be treated from here on out Once we get guys like Roberts out of the game, these guys will be recognized as the good guys of this era.
-
Mitchell just alleged that the report provides info on people who were warned about upcoming tests in advance. Has anyone hit that section yet? That would be a bombshell.
-
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:08 AM) Nook Logan Classic. Guy who came up and blew everyone away for like 2 months and then fell apart.
-
QUOTE(NCsoxfan @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) JIM F'ing PARQUE is on there!!! PARQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting over/trying to pitch through his injury. Not hard to believe.
-
And at that, I stand up and applaud. (The thomas part)
-
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:04 AM) NO ALBERT PUJOLS IN MITCHELL REPORT. Well, that's good to hear, I'd say, as a baseball fan. Please someone post the actual list when they have it.
