i agree with that but i dont think he has the stuff to be a closer

when getting decent playing time, leifer has been alright, thus the thinking that if he is given decent playing time then he will look better to other teams (maybe by trade deadline) to be worth a prospect or two

closer=glover? hah! glover is middle relief

leifer wont bring much in trade if he doesnt get the ab's. tho even whith the ab's that jm wants to give him it may not help (jm recently saying he made a mistake not realizing liefer to be somewhat of a power hitter

on a side note about cf, apparently rowand didnt have a contract like jeff kent saying he shouldnt be on a motorbike? Can you guys (gals) see aw come back full strength by sp? i cant

Leifer is destined to play off the bench if he sticks with the WS but he's not an off the bench kind of guy. Should the sox give him the majority of playing time at some position so other teams can see him develop a rythm (to improve value) then trade him for a real bench utility guy?

I think things would have been better w royce had the sox not tried to make jose into third baseman. He's a SS and they should have chosen one and nixed the other, would have saved grief cuz jose said he wanted to play wherever but we know he wants SS

I am excited to see crede in his first full season! as for leadoff, i think jiminez will work out, but if he struggles, manos is available. I recall ray-ray being moved from leadoff when he couldnt hack it anymore and manos stepped in and did very well i thought.

OK all, Im disalusioned with all this trade crap. I read JM's comments on Jose at ss and I agree. Yes he makes errors, but we won the division with his errors in 00 why cant we still? What do yall think?
