for not having ability to make good contact, jose sure seems to be ok being one of our best clutch hitters. his biggest batting flaw is that it he has been swinging for the fences.

Adkins isnt as bad as you think.... I think KW moved durham the way he did cuz thats the last option he had... durham was not having a good year so his trade value was down

We all know durham wouldnt be back this year, so why not get something for him??? He wasnt having a superb year so we werent gonna get much in return. Adkins is doing better since being in the sox farm system, and should be better yet this year. KW at least got something for him and didnt sit and watch him go for nothing. even if we got a compensation pick if he was signed as a fa that only gives us a pick, which would take longer to develop than a guy like adkins who has some experience already.... relax, y'all!

Wunch should have a better year this year, last year was coming off surgery plus he was hurt in spring training, so he should recover nicely. Unfortunately, barcelo i do believe is gone like someone said, but he is pitching in winterleagues, so maybe a minorleague contract perhaps could be done. flash will take osuna's spot but the long relief is where we need help... the 3 inning guys... dont think munoz is that guy... almonte may be best, although sanders may wind up there if not in the rotation. If sox sign cheap vet. starter, rauch will be long relief to start season..... Glover is ON when out of the pen.... starting is a totally different ballgame than relief, so you cannot compare stats for a guy that is starting vs when he is in the pen... at least for most pitchers. I am guessing that there will be a lot of minor league contracts and non roster invitees to sp this year...

I listened to KW's interview on AM1000 today and he mensioned that while they did have a number of possibilities for biddles replacement from in-house, he wasnt really ruling out a fa signing or another trade????

um HSC biddle is in montreal.... and on another note, glover will put up solid numbers from the pen. they tried him at starter last year and his numbers balooned..... it will be alright
