Build your own Sox Dream Team!
Zito and Viz may not be at the top of their game right now, but everyone has their time. Viz has been slowly improving lately, as has Neal Cotts.

Build your own Sox Dream Team!
This might have been done before, but I've never seen it, so i wanted to say, why doesn't everyone post their dream roster of sox players? It can be made up of any players you want from the present. It can be as farfetched as u want it. I'll give you an idea by showing you mine: This is only current, I'd prolly fit some other guys in, but are unaware of their positions MAIN LINEUP(forgive me if strategy wise it's a bad setup. I'm no expert.): RF/LF - Scott Podsednik CF - Aaron Rowand DH - Frank Thomas LF - Barry Bonds SS - Nomar Garciaparra 1B - Paul Konerko 3B - Troy Glaus C - A.J. Pierzynski 2B - Ronnie Belliard ROTATION: Jon Garland Mark Buehrle Mark Prior(Don't bash me!) Barry Zito Curt Schilling BULLPEN: Cliff Politte Neal Cotts Wilson Alvarez Luiz Visciano Damaso Marte Fransisco Rodriguez Shingo Takatsu BENCH/SWITCH PLAYERS: C - Ivan Rodriguez 2B/OF - Willie Harris 1B/OF - Ross Gload CF - Johnny Damon RF - Vladmir Guerrero SS - Derek Jeter

Buehrle gets tweaked by Cub `cheater'
Took the words right out of my mouth. Let's get one thing straight. The media DOES twist things around and slander people. Mark didn't do anything wrong.

Awkward Player you remember
WOW is all I can say. If I was Conseco, that wouldn't flatter me too much, LMAO.
-
Awkward Player you remember
I'd say some of the ones that were mentioned, Conseco, Karkovice, Kruk, and ah MJ just for the hell of it. BTW I didn't know much about Conseco's time with the Sox, Conseco turned out to be such a good player, was this before or after his prime? Cuz I have a hard time imagining Conseco on a team less than a year.......

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!
I'm glad to see we came in and beat a first place NL team. We might have had a sweep if a certain someone had put ina pinch hitter for someone, but *AHEM* Nvm. I hated how many times this year we played a solid team and only managed a split. I like how this series went.

Lucky.........?
He's getting better is my point. Many of the players have significantly low averages and yet are producing and producing and getting better. I'm glad to see pauly starting to get better.
-
Lucky.........?
Well of course, but I was very nervous about teh setup yesterday and surprised they did as well as they did, and the jobs weren't as easy as the people who normally play those positions.
-
Lucky.........?
Am I the only one that thought luck played a small factor in yesterday's game? Don't get me wrong, but I was a bit skeptical about the Sox lineup and certainly their defense yesterday. Scotty was everywhere BUT left field, Carl is in right when he's usually in left, Timo was in left, WHOA! And btw you Timo haters, Timo once again had a good day. Yes, of course you'll compare that to his error which he made, but on the offense, Timo was solid yesterday. Anyway, the defense and lineup were very different yesterday, and I was a bit uncomfortable with that, but we managed to pull through and not make the same mistakes that cost us Saturday's game.

why y'all so down on timo
To me, Timo is a bit short to play 1B, and yet he did a pretty good job, dammit. And his at bats, which he hasn't had many of this year in my observation, he has hit pretty well and won a game or 2 for us with soem nice base hits. I realize what I'm saying doesn't sound like much, but for somebody who hasn't been at the plate much I'd say overall it's pretty nice. At least not anywhere near as bad to be getting all the negative feedback I've seen. Look at Cotts. Look at how much people have been trashing him, and he's getting into a groove. The way I see it, Timo hasn't done horribly at all this season so far. Give it a rest.
-
why y'all so down on timo
Even though the opposition here is overwhelming, I agree. Timo hasn't been in very many games this year, but those he has been in he's played well. How anyone can insult him an call him a bad player is beyond my comprehension. I've seen good stuff from him considering how little time he's gotten in.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&#
I almost feel bad for Shingo. it's like "hey, it's the bottom of the ninth, we are winning by 6, hell let's put Shingo in there!" Well at least he's getting some time. Without it he's not going to get any more consistent. How interesting, I beleive before yesterday's game, Colorado had the WORST record in the majors, how ironic of a matchup. Of course the Royals have earned that spot now. We'll see what happens from there.

The curse! From the Red Sox.... to the White Sox??
Lots of dumb threads are posted everywhere. Just something skeptical I guess. Frank may not be the best(although some people DO argue that point), but he's surely one of the best, that was my point.

This Quote From Ozzie
I don't agree with the idea of Ozzie being bad at managing the bullpen. I can understand the moves he makes. he goes off instinct and heart, as he mentioned pertaining to BMAC on the 3rd Cubs game. Call me naive but I can see that. If he was managing the bullpen poorly, we surely wouldn't have as good a record as we have.

The curse! From the Red Sox.... to the White Sox??
How interesting. I've noticed lately that the Sox, while they generally are doing awesome, the record is being closed in on by the Cardinals and a coupla other teams, isn't it funny how the Sox can never sweep anybody lately? I was azamed as hell the Sox actually beat the Indians twice ina row, and was hoping for the sweep, just like most of the other sets they've played this year, but no luck. We need some sweeps. Next, isn't kind of scary how the best player of most teams are out? Let's look at some facts here. White Sox - Frank JUST returning, was out for nearly a year Giants - Bonds OUT Cubs - Garciaparra OUT, Prior OUT Angels - Guererro OUT Tigers - Maggs OUT I think I may be even be forgetting someone. Seems like right now many of the best players are looking at their careers possibly end.
-
Buehrle....
Oh yeah. I wouldn't want to discredit BMAC, but I thought it was kinda funny PRIOR could've easily been beaten by him, a minor leaguer. I mean BMAC is awesome, but Prior is a great pitcher. But look at what happened.

Ozzie's Rant
Me too. Just saw it. And how funny, the sound use to bleep out the cursing sounded like a truck horn O_O
-
Buehrle....
LMAO the guy was just pissed because he got PWNED. GOD, is it so hard to admit THE CUBS LST THE SERIES?! LOL, I mean McCarthy did good, El Duque didn't even get to play and we're talking a game vs. PRIOR here. No, in all seriousness, it does indeed seem the cubs get credit no matter what. Even meaningless credit. I think the cubs are the only team that could be in last place and still sell out a game.

Uribe's "foul call"
I dunno, I think Pauly was off, but I'd bet it was something he mighta laughed at afterwards. Like "What was I thinking?" or maybe not, I'm not gonna rag on him, though. But I agree with the idea that Lee shouldv'e known what to do. While I kind of agree it was kind of dirty what Uribe did, I can't help but laugh as well.
-
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
How sad is it that the cubs seem to be playing WORSE with Sosa gone? *Snickers*
-
Buehrle....
whitesoxin', I couldn't agree more. That pisses me off. Why do people make such idiots of themselves? Ignorantly trying to make themselves sound right, even though it's completely senselss and illogical. Anyone who would say Mark Beurhle "stinks" or should "go back to AAA" has got one huge dick up their ass.

Ozzie's Rant
Holy s***! This may sound like a stupid question, but where these comments broadcasted? O_O

Game Thread 5-15-2005 Sox vs Orioles
Did anyone see that awful vote on Comcast regarding Frank coming back into the lineup? 65% said "don't mess with success." On a team who's hitting is bad...... riiiiiggghhhttt. The bullpen may be doing good, and we've got soem good hitters, but it's hardly enough. Bring in Frank I say. I hate to be derogatory, but just look at what's happening.
