Oh, and reason Vince Young was considered a "running QB" is because of a certain play in the Texas Playbook that was essentially thier bread and butter. The Zone Read play where he could basically keep it or give it to a guy whos just as fast as him in Ramonce Taylor. Young doesnt act like a running QB when he drops back to pass. Sits very calmly in the pocket.

This thread seemed to digress from Rex Grossman is good to an even more retarded idea, Vince Young sucks.

With Rex Grossman at QB we'll never win a Super Bowl. I dont care if we win the division 10 times in a row, I want a CHAMPIONSHIP. Not consistent choking.

I think they both SUCK. But Orton is cheaper to keep around, and at least Orton doesnt always get hurt like Grossman (I'd take that under EXTREME consideration while taking up a backup). Plus, Orton isnt in his 4th year now, and at least may have learned something by playing 15 games as a rookie. I think we need a COMPLETELY new QB in the mix.. I thought we were arguing the backup role for the Bears....

Look at the Steelers, they are a great team to compare the Bears too, they are nearly a carbon copy. The have a great D, a great running game. There is 1 THING they have that we dont (our D is a little better than theirs), they have a real QB. We dont. For a team that wasnt supposed to put up the points they are putting up on teams they are doing a helluva job at it right now. Quick, since the Ravens in 2000 what team has gotten to the Super Bowl with a bad QB? Brad Johnson for the Bucs in 2003 is the only one thats debatable. The Patriots made a dynasty behind Brady, the Eagles owned the NFC for 3 years behind McNabb. Carolina has Delhomme, Pitt. has Roeth. Even Seattle has Hasselbeck. Whats lacking from the Bears is completely undeniable.. its a good QB. Dump Grossman. NOW

No way. Young is NOT Vick, Mr. Young made Pete Carroll look like a fool. And USC doesnt have a terrible defense.

Whats a QB's #1 job? Win ballgames. Rex Grossman had two drives to do so and handled both very badly. I dont care if he put up 35 points, if you need to score to win, a good QB will score. Did you watch the Rose Bowl?
