Three times this week Sean Spicer has referenced a terrorist attack in Atlanta by a foreigner. The last terrorist attack in Atlanta was the Olympic bombing, done by a radicalized right wing white man from Florida. What. The. f***.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 02:57 PM) Which is exactly why the idea of trading for their back up QB scares the crap out of me. Trading for anyone's backup is a risky proposition, there aren't many 2nd stringers that are ready to start and also available I wouldn't worry about where he is coming from, I would want my scouts to sell me on him based on his college tape and what little pro tape he had from earlier this year

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 02:05 PM) Why? The Pelicans gave the Sixers a journeyman center and a pick. The Bulls could've easily done that. ? Im not seeing that there is any done deal

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 12:37 PM) Dude, Wade is absolutely opting out after this year and heading back to Miami. Probably. Doesn't mean he didn't sell a bill of goods to Gar

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 11:45 AM) There are definitive ways for the Bears and White Sox to get to a point in which they are competing for titles. Both franchises have started down this path. There is no definitive way for the Bulls to reach championship level (while keeping Jimmy Butler) in the near future. You guys may think the idea that the Sox and Bears being good is crazy but those sports allow you to become better in a hurry. The nature of the NBA is not like that. The Bulls only option is tear it down to the studs and they haven't been willing to do it. There is a ton of speculation here that you are passing off as fact. The Bears and Sox are not on definitive paths back to the playoffs. They are taking smarter approaches in order to try and get back to the playoffs but by no means are they definitive or guaranteed.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 11:30 AM) Not true. If the Bears get the right QB, they have a chance. That's the way it goes. s***, even when the Sox were floundering the past few years they had a shot. If they could have snuck in the playoffs during 1 of those seasons, Sale and Q could pitch their way to a World Series. Both teams have a much better chance at championships in the near future than the Bulls do. I can't believe it's even a question in that sport. I dont understand how you can say all of the above here, and then in the next post say if your aunt had balls she would be your uncle. You guys differ on who is closer to a championship, but none of us know which team is closest nor do we know how they get there. All any of us know is that Chicago sports (that this site currently follows) suck. The end

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 11:21 AM) A FA coup with what $$ though? That's not the plan. The plan is marketing. That building is full every night because people are idiots. Cap is about to shoot through the roof
-
The only thing I can think has happened behind the scenes is some sort of guarantee of a FA coup to the front office by Wade and Jimmy. There is zero reason to stay the course otherwise On a side note, McBuckets is wrecked. His confidence is completely gone, he is bricking free throws now. There was a second half scramble against the Kings where both teams turned the ball over it seemed 6 consecutive times and Doug was involved with every one of the Bulls turnovers. He threw a pass into the other half of the court like he thought it was ok

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Feb 7, 2017 -> 04:32 PM) She MAY be. We have no idea. She has policy objectives, most of which, like all other political candidates/appointees, never come to fruition. I'm not sure what a doomsday scenario would be. Probably one that significantly restructures the system for everyone in the middle, something I cannot imagine will ever happen given the various interests at play (school administrations, teacher unions, local govt, parents, etc). Being more pro for-profit/pro-charter schools doesn't fit into that. Allowing the minor group of people sending kids to private school may have an effect, but it's not going to kill schools. Pardon me if I am wrong, but didn't the implementation of her policies in Michigan do just that and kill schools? I thought I read it was pretty disastrous in Louisiana as well when they tried to adapt her plan

It was really stupid of the Kings FO to sign Barnes. You don't want Cousins around that guy

The White House list of "terrorist attacks" that should have gained more press is....amusing. Search -> crimes -> Muslim sounding names

QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 4, 2017 -> 09:41 AM) That play where he just laid on top of MCW and got MCW called for his 6th foul was actually pretty funny. zipser also had a comical foul with Harden when Harden elbowed him in the forehead and was rewarded the foul, only to get a technical issued after ref review. I understand Harden is a superstar, but there seriously Has to be some sort of similar foul to hockey's embellishment fouls that can somewhat discourage the fouls that he causes

QUOTE (New Era on South Side @ Feb 4, 2017 -> 10:13 AM) Shouldn't a lot of people be pissed for the amount of money they lost during that time and not just on housing but their investments? I was in school at that time and my parents said a lot of people were losing money then, even those who played fairly. I think if anything, history means very little to this base.

QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Feb 3, 2017 -> 09:56 AM) Has anyone ever had to deal with squirrels in their attic? If so, which company did you hire? Did it myself, but if you need someone to do it for you I know a guy out of Elgin(I work with his wife)

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 3, 2017 -> 08:39 AM) I'd run to the podium. Garrett is going #1 though. I think Cleveland is thinking very hard about bringing Watson home, I wouldn't be so sure about Garrett

It stinks because WYC was a fun segment, but that was Terry's baby, it came from his famous interview with Ditka. To continue it without him would be bad form. Goff and Bernstein need to find their own segments, and they will

According to @ckamka, Kane has assisted on 36/48 of Panarin's goals. 23/30 last year and 13/18 this year. I think they might click together

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Feb 2, 2017 -> 12:00 PM) http://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/...-lands-backlash Some good news today on Public Lands. This is definitely one of those rare areas where voters on the right and left of aisle can see eye to eye. I love how Chaffetz threw that bill onto Clintons lap in withdrawl
