QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 12:53 PM) Yeah, Trump would have gone in there without a weapon. For sure. has admitted to finding the sight of blood “disgusting.” In a 2008 interview with Howard Stern, Trump told the shock jock that he turned away from an injured elderly man who had fallen off the stage at a Mar-a-Lago benefit because he couldn’t stomach the sight of blood. He also looked like he soiled his pants that one time someone lunged at the stage at one of his rallies.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 12:01 PM) I'd prefer folks like the national guard being on school grounds til we attack the problem as a nation. A quick google search came up with approximately 90,000 elementary schools, 36,000 high schools, and 2,618 colleges/universities in the US. I did not find numbers for pre-schools. So roughly 130,000 schools (not including pre-schools). How many national guards do you propose for each school? Do we reverse the recent tax breaks to pay for this?

"No solutions are reasonable" Most Americans — and most Republicans — want stricter gun laws

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 09:07 AM) We just need Donald Trump to save our kids because he would run inside and stop the shooter even if he didn't have a gun on him. Bone spurs be damned!

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 07:21 AM) I almost like it's all in subtitles Is it just me or do some of the subtitles appear for only a split second? Happens to a good dozen or so lines in each episode. Also, had that issue with Dark. Not sure if it's a Netflix issue or what.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 07:07 AM) Babylon Berlin has me hooked. My wife started watching it and I was just sitting there around episode 4, and we basically finished season 1 and couldn't stop watching. Just finished it last night. The last 2 episodes are fantastic.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 24, 2018 -> 01:23 AM) along with Trump calling the SRO a coward Maybe the SRO had bone spurs.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 02:27 PM) The three other Broward cops who arrived on scene first also waited outside. Post-Columbine, the standard procedure is to enter immediately rather than form a perimeter because odds are very high they're just trying to kill, not take hostages. Just shows how laughable their armed teachers solution is. If cops are hesitant, what the hell is some old fart with no experience going to do?

You have to love the hypocrisy coming from certain members of the right, complaining about teens being disrespectful towards Rubio and others for telling the truth. These are the same people who touted King Orange face for being so honest and telling it like it is. I guess they only like candid honesty when the answers don't personally offend them.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 22, 2018 -> 02:14 PM) Gotta remember that CPAC is a collection of the worst of the worst. Dinesh D'Souza is a regularly featured speaker. He makes Martin Shkreli seem like Tom Hanks.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Feb 22, 2018 -> 12:32 PM) Disagree. It’s a lot cheaper to buy some sparklers, duct tape and nails than it is to purchase a gun and do the background check. I’ve built plenty of them, minus shrapnel. All I’m saying is it’s gonna suck when somebody finally does it and throws it in a crowd. It’ll make this look like a cartoon. If it's so easy and brilliant then why is this not the weapon of choice for these mass killings?

Might not be the best idea to arm teachers.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Feb 22, 2018 -> 08:53 AM) High school students across the country have had enough. I believe that these protests and walkouts are just the beginning of a major change in this country. What a lot of these politicians seem to fail to realize is that these students will be voting in 2020, some will be voting this year. I think these politicians always discount the younger voters since they typically don't show up to the polls. It's different now though. These kids are energized now and it's because their actual lives are now in danger. They will definitely be voting so hopefully they vote out all of these useless turds.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 09:58 PM) I don't like the fact the kids and teachers have no way of defending themselves thus I said it'd be nice if teachers had guns at their disposal. However I did hear tonight on the news one school was saying starting now they will have armed guards on a daily basis. That's the only responsible thing to do right now. At least have armed guards. Who will pay for them? Somebody. If it's a public school they should raise taxes. If private, up the tuition and start a campaign for alums to donate. Do you even read the news...ever? This school that just got shot up had armed guards. YOUR PLAN/IDEA DOES NOT WORK.

Examples of actual headlines in the link

"I hear you"

Everyone in a school will be doing this most of the day but with actual guns.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 03:12 PM) Then every student should have a gun! Bingo! case closed
-
What happens when an overly-stressed teacher, barely making ends meet goes on a rampage with their government-issued gun?
-
My god, what a complete moron. He needs a note to remind him to say "I hear you" to the kids and parents at a listening session. LINK

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 12:39 PM) Dunkirk was extremely well made, but as a narrative, it was far too lacking to consider "great." It had almost zero character development. Agreed. Enjoyed it in the theater but ultimately a pretty forgettable movie.
