White Sox @ Blue Jays
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2006 -> 12:15 PM) AJ has sucked with RISP this year, he needs to do something here. And he continues to struggle with runners on.

White Sox @ Blue Jays
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 28, 2006 -> 11:44 AM) At least Brian gives it his all. I agree Brian gives it his all but you really think Uribe doesn't? I know he's been bad but I can't believe he's not trying his best.

Ozzie goes off
Hey whitesoxmanager! I found you an avatar:

Ozzie goes off
QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:50 AM) Ozzie represents himself, his family, his country of Venezuela, the WhiteSox organization and alot of former Sox players & coaches with his words....thats all....is it ok for a 11 year old sox fan to yell the same obscenities aimed at the sox dugout for poor play & good games? i dont think so! Umm...did you just start following the Sox yesterday? Ozzie has been doing this since he's been here.

White Sox @ Blue Jays
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:45 AM) Maybe in the second half. Garland was the stopper last year, preventing several bad stretches, not Contreras. --------------------- Pods, LF Cintron, 2B Thome, DH PK, 1B Dye, RF AJ, C Crede, 3B Mack, CF Uribe, SS Garland, SP --------------------- I'd think BA would get a chance against a rookie pitcher but what do I know.

KW: Make a run at Tejada
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) GARLAND CAN NOT BE TRADED THIS SEASON. Oh yeah. *sigh*

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:00 AM) I can think of 1 team that had 2 guys under the Mendoza line in late May & was pretty good. The 2005 Chicago White Sox. Konerko & Dye hovered around .190 until late May last year...not sure the exact date that they got going, but they were down for a LONG time. We also were pretty much a lock to win if we had a 1 run lead. With this bullpen we cannot afford two auto-outs.

Dontrelle Willis
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 28, 2006 -> 06:14 AM) You think they would be interested in a package around B-Mac possibly? Of course then you would have to trade another starter like Garland at the end of the season, to fit Willis into the rotation. Can't see it happening myself. I'll pass.

Garland/Uribe for Tejada?

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) Don't ever bring up Ozzie and Dusty's managerial tastics in the same discussion... EVER!!! I find it funny that after a 2 game losing streak Ozzie throws a rant while Dusty continues to sit in that dugout chewing on a toothpick.

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) But if they're driving everyone in, then shouldn't they be on base a lot for AJ to knock them in. Thome: 36 ABs with RISP | Konkero: 38 ABs with RISP | Pierz: 35 ABs with RISP That's exactly what I was getting at. Get him on so the top of the order can come up and knock him in. Although he is a baseclogger. Oh well. Was a fun hypothetical. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) Sadly, yes. He did well today, but that doesn't change the fact that his average has been sinking like a stone for a few weeks. And judging by his career average, he just might keep falling. And Dye's average has been sinking like a stone as well. He was around .320 a couple weeks ago. Under .280 now....I think.

music
Too lazy to go back into the thread. Anyone check out Kool Keith's new joint 'Project Polaroid'? His best work since Dr Octagon IMO. He actually rhymes with a good flow. Unlike the gibberish in other recent albums.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) What the hell is a "Taubenhiem"? It's a family in a Wes Anderson movie.

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) However it is still completely idiotic strategy to have somebody that hits and gets on base hit 9th, it's a waste of scoring chances. Btw if you haven't noticed, AJ is not driving anyone in this year. He is getting on base and Uribe and BA bat behind him making the 2nd and 3rd outs of the inning. AJ hasn't done well with RISP, hence the low RBI totals. Just saying.

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) Fair enough, and the Angels do that now with Kennedy. However it is still completely idiotic strategy to have somebody that hits and gets on base hit 9th, it's a waste of scoring chances. OK guys I get it. Call my mother a whore while you're at it.

Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) That would be like starting the game with Jenks and Cotts and closing the game with Buehrle. Not very smart. I was just thinking of the Sox of the late 80s and early 90s when they would have a .300 hitter at the bottom of the order to be a 2nd lead-off hitter.
-
Hello Mr. Anderson
Anyone think it might be a good idea mixing up the batting order to try to switch things up a bit? Maybe bat AJ 9th since he's not hitting for power and he could provide a bit of protection to BA and Uribe? Just a thought.
-
Hello Mr. Anderson
QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:02 PM) But where is the quote about Uribe? I'm scared that he's just gonna keep putting him out there because he was a light hitting SS. Uribe has likely cost us at least 2 games in the last week. I have a feeling Alex gets the start tomorrow.
