  1. This report is insanely awesome.
  2. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 01:09 PM) It's not a continuous list. It's basically Name followed by the evidence against them. I'm printing the entire thing to read at home tonight. Work should be so happy with my use of resources haha.
  3. NO ALBERT PUJOLS IN MITCHELL REPORT.
  4. The report will be available in PDF on mlb.com momentarily.
  5. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:45 PM) Oh and by the way... you didn't KNOW they were doing them. At least not immediately. You SUSPECTED. That's what I was going to say. Unless IAMSHACK had some EVIDENCE back in the day, he didn't KNOW it.
  6. Interesting that the SI article doesn't say anything about Prince Albert.
  7. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:36 AM) I hope more big names are added. Nothing besides Pujols makes me go awe. I mean, Pettite kind of surprises me, but the rest is a list that a casual fan wouldn't care about. I dunno. Johnny Damon and Jason Varitek are pretty popular names that make me laugh.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:33 AM) I'm sure that there was some legal action threatened if that statement wasn't put out. Yeah, you are probably right. I think the list is legit.
  9. Since it's at the bottom of the previous page, and it's pretty important. A previous report by WNBC naming many prominent MLB players, including Albert Pujols and Roger Clemens, has been disputed by an MLB official who has seen the Mitchell Report. Rumors have been flying all morning about the potential names that will be released, though nothing has been verified. While WNBC's reported list seems plausible, it is likely we won't know the true identities until the report is officially released
  10. QUOTE(G&T @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:31 AM) According to the Score, WNBC sources are standing by their sources. All I hope is that no big names magically get redacted. I hope so... we'll see.
  11. Not so fast.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 11:22 AM) Ouch Pujols. Seriously, this isn't just ouch. Think about the ramifications of him getting named in the Mitchell Report today. He's still young, he hasn't even hit his prime. Now, he's going to be booed non-stop, every home run has an asterisks by it from public perception alone. We're going to watch like 13 more years of Albert Pujols putting up stats that just don't matter. The best hitter in the game today has this cloud hanging over his head, and will for MANY YEARS. You'll never have another conversation about Pujols that doesn't involve steroids. He = Barry Bonds now, but he's nowhere close to retiring. He could hit 700 more homeruns "clean" and it wouldn't matter. His legacy is already toast as he's just laying the groundwork. This is definitely "ouch."
  13. The list is real. Per Rotoworld The following names are expected to be named in the Mitchell report, according to WNBC: Brady Anderson, Manny Alexander, Rick Ankiel, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds, Aaron Boone, Rafaeil Bettancourt, Bret Boone, Milton Bradley, David Bell, Dante Bichette, Albert Belle, Paul Byrd, Wil Cordero, Ken Caminiti, Mike Cameron, Ramon Castro, Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Roger Clemens, Paxton Crawford, Wilson Delgado, Lenn y Dykstra, Johnny Damon, Carl Everett, Kyle Farnsoworth, Ryan Franklin, Troy Glaus, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Troy Glaus, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Prior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts, Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Sc hoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada, Julian Tavarez, Fernando Tatis, Maurice Vaughn, Jason Varitek, Ismael Valdez, Matt Williams and Kerry Wood.
  14. For those of us at work. The Mitchell Report will be streamed live on MLB.com.
  15. Can a mod just move this to the MR thread? Maybe should have left a redirect in this forum.
  16. This is from deadspin. Take it for what it's worth please. They said that they received the same list from multiple sources. I have bolded the truly important names. link Can you say Albert Pujols? Brady Anderson Manny Alexander Rick Ankiel Jeff Bagwell Barry Bonds Aaron Boone Rafael Bettancourt Bret Boone Milton Bradley David Bell Dante Bichette Albert Belle Paul Byrd Wil Cordero Ken Caminiti Mike Cameron Ramon Castro Jose and Ozzie Canseco Roger Clemens Paxton Crawford Wilson Delgado Lenny Dykstra Johnny Damon Carl Everett Kyle Farnsworth Ryan Franklin Troy Glaus Rich Garces Jason Grimsley Juan Gonzalez Eric Gagne Nomar Garciaparra Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Jose Guillen Jay Gibbons Juan Gonzalez Clay Hensley Jerry Hairston Felix Heredia, Jr. Darren Holmes Wally Joyner Darryl Kile Matt Lawton Raul Mondesi Mark McGwire (Steve insert... duh) Guillermo Mota Robert Machado Damian Moss Abraham Nunez Trot Nixon Jose Offerman Andy Pettitte Mark Prior Neifi Perez Rafael Palmiero Albert Pujols (Steve insert... if this is true... wow.) Brian Roberts Juan Rincon John Rocker Pudge Rodriguez Sammy Sosa (again, duh) Scott Schoenweiis David Segui Alex Sanchez Gary Sheffield Miguel Tejada Julian Tavarez Fernando Tatis (But he hit two grandslams in one inning!) Mo Vaughn Jason Varitek Ismael Valdes Matt Williams Kerry Wood. Again, please take it for what it's worth. We'll know very soon if this is true.
  17. QUOTE(daa84 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 09:53 AM) Pettitte will be in too....from the same source that reported clemens....via espn Not as a user, as a source for Clemens. They stated that Pettite is NOT linked to steroids.
  18. QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 08:43 AM) In truth, he had more to do with quickly dismantling a World Champion, than putting it together. This team had a long string of 90 win and competitive seasons under Ron Schueler than under Williams. Williams was busy ruining the farm system he was in charge of before being given the GM job over more qualified people. Larry Himes drafted and developed our star players of the early 90's. Know what you are talking about before calling me an ingrate. This is the least true and least accurate statement ever.
  19. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 09:00 AM) Anyone hear the quote from Boras stating that there is no due process and essentially there is no validity to the report at all. I wonder how many of his guys show up. I can think of at least a handful. AAAAAAA ROOOOD Seriously, knowing that Clemens is on it has already made my day.
  20. ESPN RADIO: ROGER CLEMENS!!!!! HAHAHAHA
  21. QUOTE(G&T @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 08:16 AM) Are we to assume he was offered arbitration? There's nothing on any transaction trackers that I've seen. The only thing ChiSox.com has to say is that they were expected to offer him a contract. This is oddly silent. However, rotoworld.com seems to act like the Sox made the choice to tender Crede when they non-tendered Gonzalez/Phillips.
  22. ESPN (Mike and Mike) just stated that "several prominent Yankees" will be named in the Mitchell Report today, and no current Mets on the 40-man roster are named. Holy s***, Alex Rodriguez is on this list.
  23. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) Well this is about 4 months too late HAHAHA. damn straight.
  24. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) Mark Redman? Also: Ken Caminiti? Bonds? That's all! Ho, ho, ho. I really doubt anyone new will get fingered but we'll see. 80 names... 80 names. Think about that. There's going to be many new names to hear about. Rumors confirmed, wrongs righted, butts slapped... it's going to be wild.
