I'd rather see DeAza playing than Pierre....wouldn't care if Beckham went down to AAA for a spell...wouldn't care if Lillibridge got released and Milledge came back up and Rios went to the bench. It's a damn shame that Jordan Danks can't hit.

Honestly, I would rather see roster moves than coaching changes. I think it sends a more powerful message, imo.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 10:47 AM) I'm convinced that they could get rid of Ozzie, stick a mannequin in the dugout with a Sox cap on its head, and manage the game asking viewers to text lineups and game decisions via the Aflac poll and get the same or better results. Here's an idea: give Dunn a start at 1B instead of Teahen, see if being on the field and playing some D will unload some of the baggage he's carrying to the plate. Now they're saying the guy can't hit a fastball anymore.
-
How did this go so bad so fast? And how can you say you're not going to call a team meeting to address the death-spiral because then it would "seem like you are panic"? Well Ozzie, sometimes it's good to panic, like when the house is on fire, your girlfriend's husband comes home early or your team has suddenly gone into a cataclysmic funk and people face the very real possibility of losing their jobs. Maybe "panic" is exactly what this team needs, cuz "no panic" ain't f***ing working either.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm

The good news is that the Yankees are playing great ball right now, and Cano has an 11 game hitting streak. So we have an excuse. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 24, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) That would be an interesting sacrifice. I suppose if they didn't score a run, Walker would be the obvious choice, but what if they lost 9-8,8-7,11-9 and 5-4? I think its Cowley just throwing some crap out there and if someone does go eventually he will tell everyone he broke the story. Exactly! "You heard it here first fans..."
-
per Cowley KW is making the trip to NYC and if things don't turn around a sacrifice will be made. Repeat, this is Cowley, so to be safe divide by 2 and doubt what's left.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 24, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) Are you really bothered by what Miggy did? I am indeed. I'm tired of a lot the showboating that you see and no, I'm not some grizzled old f*** who wants it to be like the old days. Miggy threw both arms in the air in a dramatic way, arched his back and then blew a kiss. If you didn't see it look again. It was an in-your-face to the Sox but that's just my opinion. In case you didn't know, the Tigers hate the Sox as do most teams in the division. I don't mind that at all, I just wish the Sox were as pumped about beating them as they are about beating us. -

The showed a TON of fight today. You could see that they were really grinding it out and giving it their all. -

someone needs to lose their job on this team. Don't bank on another 25-5 run this time, boys. -

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 24, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) Not really. Just slapped his mitt, made a motions to the clouds, and extended his arms out in the air. Nothing worse that that douchebag Papelbon does after each save. Blew a kiss to the sky and opened his arms. The same kind of thing you see Konerko do all the time. At the same time Valverde the pimp was going thru his motions. -

this team is the laughingstock of the league. Did you see the demonstration by miggy on the last out? -

Jamarcus Dunn with another rough day at the plate. Forget the Dodgers, Selig should take over the White Sox. Because this s*** is disgraceful and detrimental to the game. The Yankees must be licking their chops. -
White Sox @ Detroit Tigers, 3:10 PM, Fox

please, don't let this be Penny's "breakout" game. For the love of god, beat these assholes. -
I think a lot of you haters are going to be choking on those harsh words about Peavy. I think he's going to be effective by June and dominant by July/August.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) Losing this game is acceptable. The thing about tht White Sox though is that they pitch to contact and then do not put the defense behind the pitcher to give them a chance to succeed i just think there's too much pressure on the pitching and defense when the offense turtles like this. They can't be perfect, they need to know that the team is going to score some runs behind them.

fatty makes a play!

not often you see JP strike out like this

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:27 PM) Two guys I'm not worried about are Dunn and Rios. Beckam and Buehrle OTOH . . . I'm just pissed that the Sox are losing. In all fairness to Mark, I still believe the guy has enough cunning and guile to get guys out. Alex could've made a web gem catch and the lead would only be 2 runs right now. And if our offense was clicking in the least, we'd be right in it. Mark still battles and I think he still has plenty to offer, IMO. Beckham just has to figure out how to avoid these prolonged funks.

QUOTE (DukeofChicago88 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) How did Paulie not catch that? maybe because it was smoked?

5 runs in 4 innings. Fathom's right, Mark's not fooling many hitters anymore. What's weird is that so many LH hitters are nailing him.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) Just was taunting Q after he fouled off a pitch on a check swing with a 3-2 count. Dude was loud enough that the mic picked him up nice and clear. The next pitch went 400 feet. Ah, Detroit fans. Probably saved up all his unemployment checks for that beer and those seats.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) I really hope Q got a chance to glance at that heckler. That was solid. i missed the heckler, what was his beef?
