And people please note my question mark in my thread title. I didnt say he WAS ruined but a game like that could ruin a young players confidence. My point was, from the beginning, that cotts shouldnt be thrown into a pennant race. I dont like it............but i still feel the sox will win this division and go far into the playoffs IF they dont go mentally weak on us. Thats a real possibility, but i dont THINK it will happen.

Yeah there will be. On the other hand, this sox team could really help by playing consistently for a few weeks, no? They make it easy to panic when they do things like get swept by the tigers ....

The vison remains in tact and i still believe in it. I just think this game today really SUCKED.

I was neutral. I didnt say it ruined cotts, i asked if it could. The fact is JM gets paid for his decisions and this one backfired. He deserves the second guessing.

You can voice your opinions. You can think JM is an idiot. You can think that this loss may mentally destroy teh sox..................BUT DONT act like its a fact and the damn season is f***ing over. We are in first place, we just beat teh yanks 2 of 3, and we have as much talent as anyone, DESPITE our dumbass manager.

The only thing im concerned with at all is the mental aspect of the team right now. Of course the one loss doesnt do damage.

Apparently you havent been watching the sox this season. Its a serious concern. Its not a reason to panic, but the whole team is pissed at JM and that can easily cause this team to lose focus. And i will repeat the word EASILY......

Wouldn't be surprised if they lose that this kills the momentum and dent's their confidence. One game? With a rookie starter? I think you are overestimating the affect this will have. I THINK YOURE underestimating the mental weakness of this team.
