  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) What did Willie do? Bobbles a routine dp ball, and only got the out at 1st.
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) Everett has been absolutely horrible this year in the 5 hole. 92 ABs, .239 AVG, .725 OPS, 6 HR. Why put guys in places where they tend not to succeed? Just because you think that's where they should hit? That's probably because he hit mainly LH in the 5th spot, and 92 ab's really isn't a large enough sample. How many Rbi's did he have??
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) Why would you want him hitting in the 6th/7th spot in the order when you know he's f***ing awesome in the 5th spot? Because i think Everett should hit there. This would be my lineup.....Pods, Iguchi, Rowand, PK, Everett, Dye, AJ, Uribe, Blum.....
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) I thought someone said he sucked in the 5 hole. I would prefer he hit 6th or 7th personally.
  6. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) That's grinderball rule #72 1/2 What's more frustrating? Swinging at ball 4, or Swinging at the 1st pitch?
  7. Why do we ALWAYS have to swing at ball 4????????? :headshake :banghead
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) come on Anthony John And he tries to hit one to Kansas
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) HEADLINES TONIGHT WORLD TO END, WILLIE HARRIS GETS A HIT Should that be in green???

  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Did Blalock rob someone of a hit or something? Stuck at work, and you guys are all I have to fill in the blanks. Thanks for everything. Blalock>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Crede

  13. A simple basehit there would of been nice Blum.
  14. QUOTE(infohawk @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:29 AM) Guys, I'm going to suggest a contrary view of today's line-up. If the Sox were fighting for their playoff lives, every starter would probably be playing. Of course Ozzie hopes to win this game, but he may also recognize that a 5-5 road trip that included Minnesota and a good-hitting Ranger team is pretty good. All you can hope for is to play .500 on the road. As a former player who has been through the grind of many a season, Ozzie knows what the stretch run is like. Resting his players like this may be an expression of confidence and that he believes the most important thing is to make sure everyone is rested and ready to go come October. Teams like the Indians, Yankees, A's and Angels probably don't have the luxury of resting players because of the tight wild card race. Lack of rest may cause them to stumble a bit down the stretch. We play MUCH better on the road though. 5-5 is not good for this team..This thing isn't even close to being wrapped up yet, we need to put the pedal to the metal till it's in the bag.
