  1. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:26 AM) 14,000 a year is seriously insane though. The closest we'd have to that down here, where you get parking, access to restaraunts, bars, clubs in a convertible stadium, only costs about $350 a month, and membership is fully transferable, so if you can't go, you just give it to someone else and they can go for you instead, for any game or event that is on there. We pay $15K for 4 seats with parking and stadium club.
  2. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:31 AM) How did you do that? I thought it was only season ticket packages? It's not anymore since they only sold 80 seats.
  3. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) Hell me and a couple buddies could make them regret that We have them for 2 games and I can't wait...
  4. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:22 AM) So we're talking approximately 14K per seat a year and that's not including parking. Parking is included.
  5. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:21 AM) Never been to Australia, but my wife went to Italy years ago and LOVED it. She'd strongly recommend Tuscany and Rome. I've been twice.. I loved it. Jim's never been so he's itching to go. Like I said we probably wont go now.. but definitely within 2 years because we want to take his mom and my grandmother.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:08 AM) If its Italy, remember to wait until after the conclave concludes. Jim's mom was telling us last night that we should go because it will be so cool to be part of history.... bla.. pass.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:19 AM) Yeah that's the major thing b/w here and there unfortunately. I bet you were probably looking at the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef if you decided to come down here though. To be honest.. we were looking at doing absolutely nothing but laying on the beach for 10 days. We want (need) a vacation to do nothing. Every trip we take is filled with activities. We just want to relax on this one..
  8. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/sto...9p-256191c.html Imperioli: 'Sopranos' may see 7th season By RICHARD HUFF DAILY NEWS TV EDITOR 'Sopranos' star Michael Imperioli (r.) joins Dennis Farina on 'Law & Order' for 4 shows. 'Sopranos" cast member Michael Imperioli yesterday gave fans a little hope that there might be a seventh season of the popular mob drama. Production on the sixth season of "The Sopranos," which had been labeled the last by creator David Chase and HBO, starts April 29. "I look forward to getting back to work," Imperioli said on a conference call yesterday. "I'm not sure it's the last season." But, he added, all things have to come to an end. Imperioli, who plays Christopher Moltisanti, Tony Soprano's nephew, said that because he had yet to hear officially from Chase that the sixth season would be the last, he thought there could be a seventh season. But Chase has said previously the show would end after the next season, targeted to return to HBO in early 2006. "He said that about the fifth season as well," noted Imperioli, who begins a four-episode run on "Law & Order" on April 27. "I heard a month ago [that] we're going to do a seventh. Then, not a seventh." Imperioli said until he heard officially from Chase that the upcoming season was the last, he still thought there could be more. Reached yesterday, an HBO spokeswoman reiterated that Chase had publicly stated the sixth season would be the end. The current plan calls for at least 10 new episodes in the sixth season, maybe 13. When they air, it will have been more than a year-and-a-half since the last time HBO viewers saw a new episode. In the past, when pressed on more seasons, Chase has said he was concerned about being able to come up with enough good storylines. "I don't know if there is [a concern]," Imperioli said when asked about having enough stories. "That's a real David decision... "I would like it to go on," Imperioli added. "I can do it for another few years." He said he expects Chase to have an answer on a seventh season when the cast returns to work. How does he expect the show to end, when it finally does finish up? "I always thought the story was going to end tragically, for all of us," Imperioli said. "I don't think it's going to be pretty."
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) The scout seats sounds like a really nice package to get, but I bet it'd be so expensive. $170 all you can eat/drink.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:06 AM) Australia. C'mon Steff you know you want to. The plane ride is the only thing holding us back from commiting to it. The same with Italy. I bet we end up doing the cruise. 12 days... Now just have to decide which ocean to cruise on...

    Quack, quack..

Yesterday morning Jim and I are leaving for work and I see an egg by one of the bushes in the front of the house.. "cute" I thought.. this morning while getting ready I look out the front window and there's the momma.. a cute black duck sittin there keeping her baby warm... So I decide to leave her some bread.. I break some up.. walk out the front door.. approach the bush.. lean down to drop the bread.. and to my surprise... there are now 2 eggs. Questions for anyone that might know.. We have a lake behind our house.. don't they normally lay their eggs near water..? And at the same time..? How long is this process going to take..? Should I expect more than just the 2..? And can I be sure that it's the same duck..? I'm concerned word will spread and ducks from other lakes in the neighborhood will come drop off their eggs... They look just like eggs you buy at Jewel..
  12. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) Good luck with everything. Where are you and the hubby honeymooning? That's the bazillion $$ question... we're trying to decide between a cruise, Australia, or Italy... Due to work we can't go until June so we have to make our decision within the next week so I can finalize those plans.

    16 year old abused...

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) This line pisses me off to no end. I hate the way schools systems are too worried about PR and themselves instead of actually worrying about why they exsist and that is for the betterment of the kids. I can't believe that course of action would be the norm... That guy will never work again.. and rightly so.
  14. What the hell is wrong with people...???? :banghead http://www.news4jax.com/news/4359657/detail.html A 23-year-old Central Florida woman has been charged with making false statements about a rape that left Rollins College students scared to walk the campus, according to WKMG-TV in Orlando. In November, Desiree Nall, (pictured, left) told Winter Park police that she was raped by two men in a Rollins College bathroom. "The college was on high alert and the neighborhood was in confusion because there was a lot of fear," Winter Park police spokesman Wayne Farrell said. Investigators told WKMG-TV that Nall confessed to making up the story. Nall is the president of the Brevard Chapter of the National Organization for Women, Local 6 News reported. Police said she may have been trying to make a statement when she lied about the rape. "Lying about that story is absolutely horrible because women are victimized every day.," Rollins student Elizabeth Humphrey said. "And if we get the reputation of lying, then people won't start to believe us if it does happen." WKMG-TV spoke with Nall's husband at the couple's home in Palm Bay. He would only say something did happen but the full story has not been told, according to the report. Nall could spend up to a year in jail and be forced to pay back tens of thousands of dollars police spent of the investigation.
  15. Wis. Considers Legalizing Cat Hunting By The Associated Press MADISON, Wis. - Feline lovers holding pictures of cats, clutching stuffed animals and wearing whiskers faced-off against hundreds of hunters at meetings around Wisconsin to voice their opinion on whether to legalize cat hunting. Residents in 72 counties were asked whether free-roaming cats — including any domestic cat that isn't under the owner's direct control or any cat without a collar — should be listed as an unprotected species. If listed as so, the cats could be hunted. The proposal was one of several dozen included in a spring vote on hunting and fishing issues held by the Wisconsin Conservation Congress. The results, only advisory, get forwarded to the state Natural Resources Board. Statewide results were expected Tuesday. La Crosse firefighter Mark Smith, 48, helped spearhead the cat-hunting proposal. He wants Wisconsin to declare free-roaming wild cats an unprotected species, just like skunks or gophers. Anyone with a small-game license could shoot the cats at will. At least two other upper Midwestern states, South Dakota and Minnesota, allow wild cats to be shot — and have for decades. Minnesota defines a wild, or feral, cat as one with no collar that does not show friendly behavior, said Kevin Kyle with that state's Department of Natural Resources. Every year in Wisconsin alone, an estimated 2 million wild cats kill 47 million to 139 million songbirds, according to state officials. Despite the astounding numbers, Smith's plan has been met with fierce opposition from cat lovers. Critics of Smith's idea organized Wisconsin Cat-Action Team and developed a Web site — dontshootthecat.com. Some argue it is better to trap wild cats, spay or neuter them, before releasing them. In Madison, about 1,200 people attended the Monday evening meeting at the Alliant Center — more than the 250 or so in a typical year, but less than the 3,000 or so who took part in a debate in 2000 over whether to allow hunters to shoot mourning doves. One of the attendees was Katy Francis, who wore cat ears, whiskers, a cat nose and a sign that read, "Too Cute to Kill." For Francis, "The cat hunting thing brought me out because it was very extreme."

  17. http://www.local6.com/news/4372049/detail.html Witnesses: Disabled Girl Punched In Face, Forced To Perform Sex Acts POSTED: 2:25 pm EDT April 12, 2005 UPDATED: 9:11 am EDT April 13, 2005 COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A 16-year-old disabled girl was punched and forced to engage in videotaped sexual acts with several boys in a high school auditorium as dozens of students watched, according to witnesses. Authorities are investigating and no charges have been filed in the alleged attack last month at Mifflin High School. Four boys suspected of involvement were sent home and have not returned to class. Also, the principal, Regina Crenshaw, was suspended and will be fired for not calling police, school officials said. And three assistant principals were suspended and will be reassigned to other schools. Crenshaw had no comment Tuesday. The girl was forced to perform oral sex on at least two boys, according to statements from school officials, obtained by The Columbus Dispatch. Part of the alleged assault was videotaped by a student who had a camera for a school project. School officials found the girl bleeding from the mouth. An assistant principal cautioned the girl's father against calling 911 to avoid media attention, the statements said. The girl's father called police. Her father said the girl is developmentally disabled. A special education teacher said the teen has a severe speech impediment. There is a special place in hell for these assholes.. and I hope the parents sue the crap out of the school.

  19. http://www.wkyt.com/Global/story.asp?S=3193539 Georgetown police are looking for a man accused of raping an 11-year-old girl. Detectives need your help finding the man, who is on the run. Georgetown police spent this past weekend looking for 20-year-old Pablo Lopez Romero. Police say Romero raped his girlfriend's niece after the young girl and two other children were left alone with him in an apartment. Georgetown police have been busily running down leads, but haven't been able to catch up with Romero, who goes by Pablo Lopez. Police say the rape happened inside an apartment on Williamsburg Lane. Georgetown police detective Don Mather told 27 NEWSFIRST, "It's a dangerous individual that would do something like this." Police say Lopez lured the 11-year-old girl into a back bedroom after her aunt left Lopez alone in the apartment. According to detectives, Lopez sexually assaulted the young girl while the other two children slept. Police say it all happened within fifteen minutes. Mather told 27 NEWSFIRST, "By the time the aunt returned, they realized Mr. Lopez had locked himself in the backroom with the 11-year-old. The resident then shouldered the door and assaulted Mr. Lopez, seeing what he was doing." That's when police say Lopez ran out the apartment wearing only his boxers. The picture to the top left is the most recent photo of Lopez. Police say he tends to change his appearance from a bald cut to a more grown out look. Police say he also has several aliases. They are asking for your help to catch him. Police believe Lopez may still be in the area. Investigators told 27 NEWSFIRST he moved to Scott County from Mexico close to a year ago. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Bluegrass Crimestoppers at 859-253-2020.

    XM RADIO

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) Sirius does have good programming though but they also don't have near the power XM does. XM is standard in quite a few automobiles while Sirius is Chrysler and possibly Ford XM is in most of the japanese car companies as well as all GM products (since GM owns it). They are offering Sirus in the '05 Vettes...

    XM RADIO

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) I heard a rumor the other day that XM eventually plans to buy out Sirius. Anyone else heard anything similar to this? I heard the opposite. XM went after Mel Karmazan hot & heavy when he left Infinity... he went with Sirius. Apparently there are some serious financial backers who are going to make a play for XM in November. Another reason why I didn't buy either yet as I was waiting for Howard anyway.. and MLB will likely end up on there also.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) I was quick...I was reading through the rest and realized I was a moron. I was reading hte post going, how be damn, I didn't realize the Giants played the Sox this weekend Don't worry steff, give it a day and I'll open myself up by saying something else dumb They don't play them at all this year.. LOL.
  23. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) see, I didn't know any of that, so I was like 'whoa, we didn't budget for all of that.' AND I didn't know that everyone and I mean everyone gets a tip. Limo drivers, DJ, musicians, flower arrangers, priest.....etc. Yep... we figured all of that in. Luckily this isn't a huge affair so the $$ we saved on cutting the guest list down is taking care of all the extras.
  24. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) I am not sure what the heck I should be getting my parents anything. They haven't done much to help out since we got engaged. Oh well. Mine aren't doing anything either but I got them a little something.
  25. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) I think so, all our friends have been married in the last 8 years or so. I also didn't know that the groom buys gifts for all his groomsmen and the bride for the bridesmaids, did you know that? Yea, I knew that. And for moms & dads, ring bearer, flower girl, and officiants also.
