  1. The puke green haze of the banner matches up perfectly with Crede's offense.
  2. Hi B-Mac! , beat the !!! Good luck!
  3. Well, it doesn't have to be a move for Griffey but it could be an open spot for another player. I hope it's Griffey though.
  4. Why are you laughing? After Timo's big night of 2 for 4 with a walk, Ozzie said he's going to keep Timo and LF and use Pods off the bench.
  5. I just heard on the Score that it could be a trade for Darius Songaila. The Kings would sign-and-trade him to us for Eric Piatkowski.
  6. Yep, Griffey hasn't faced the Mariners as a Red.
  7. Erections? Try massive premature ejaculations.
  8. Wow. Didn't even think about that. That would definately be a pants-creamer. But the deadline is next Wednesday so any move could take another week.
  9. If outrighting this guy to Charlotte... brings this guy... No one will remember who the hell Matt Smith is anyways.
  10. Because it means a move could be in the near future. Why else would Kenny be freeing up a spot on the 40-man roster?
  11. Blum was added as insurance at 3rd base because of Crede's bad back. Kenny saw like all of us that Ozuna is just not good at 3rd base. Blum was added to be a backup 3rd baseman and stick off the bench, not for Ozzie to worry about getting him playing time like Timo. He is a bench player.
  12. Neither can I. The only guy not on the 40-man roster that would have made sense to add would have been Jerry Owens. But Pods will be back Monday so that isn't it. IMO, the most reasonable answer is that the spot was cleared so Kenny has room to either claim a player or swing a trade for one.
  13. Bellhorn is a switch-hitter. Start Bellhorn at 3rd base against most righties and use Crede as a defensive sub for him. Start Crede against lefties. Blum would mainly backup 1st base just like Gload did last season. He could also backup SS and 3B if necessary. Since when does Blum have to get playing time? Afterall, he is a bench player.
  14. Of course. I would too. But Bellhorn is a better offensive player than Blum. And there IS room for Bellhorn on our roster... 1.) Subtract Jon Adkins and Brian Anderson 2.) Add Scott Podsednik and Mark Bellhorn
  15. But Crede isn't hitting at all currently and he has NEVER been able to draw a walk. If you are going to have a .240 hitting 3rd baseman, you may as well have the one with the high OBP. Although Crede makes up for some of his garbage stick with his great glove. I guess it's just a matter of how much would Bellhorn's offense outweigh his inferior [to Crede's] glove.
  16. Especially not after Timo just went 2 for 4 with a walk tonight. It's just like when Neifi comes through for Dusty and the Cubs. Ozzie will use Dusty's excuse for playing him -- "Timo is a proven veteran that comes through for us in clutch situations!" You're right. Timo is going to get his playing time. We may as well root for him to do something positive. :puke
  17. Bellhorn at the bottom of our lineup would be a million times better than Crede there. If Ozzie can play Ozuna at 3rd base, I don't see why we couldn't play Bellhorn there and use Crede as a defensive sub.
  18. Ahhh, okay. I wasn't putting words in your mouth. I just misinterpreted what you were trying to say. But I can definately agree with that. I would rather see Bellhorn at 3rd base than Timo in LF.
  19. Timo sucks, don't get me wrong, but I don't see how you can say that Bellhorn is better defensively in the outfield than Timo. Bellhorn has played 7 career games in the outfield and had only 1 start which was in RF... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stat...ontext=fielding But I do agree with you about Bellhorn probably being worth it regardless of his defense at 3rd base just because his OBP is so much better than Crede's.

  21. YAY! No one will ban me now for providing false information!
  22. I really don't think he's all that great at 3rd base but either way, his OBP would be a huge upgrade over Crede's. Start Bellhorn at 3rd base for his offense and then use Crede as a defensive sub late in the game.
  23. LOL, good point. Bellhorn is acceptable at 2nd base but he is just brutal at 3rd base. He's just not a good defensive player but he can draw a lot of walks and hit a lot of doubles and some homers. But he also strikes out a lot and doesn't hit for average.
  24. Cuz he is. I remember seeing him play 3rd base when he was with the Cubs. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stat...ontext=fielding Bellhorn has a .944 career fielding percentage at 3rd base. That's bad.
