Yes, Broadway is vanilla.....that's why it was a joke... You're right...I don't think we have anyone flashy enough for Bowden. Now, if we only had a "5-tool" prospect with a career average of .250 in the minors, I think we'd have a trading partner.

They aren't committed to him at all. They don't like him...I almost think it's on a personal level. All he needs is a few bad games, and they'll be looking to move him.

As I've mentioned before, Ryan Church would look awfully good in a White Sox uniform. If BA pans out, Church would be the best 4th OFer in baseball. If BA doesn't pan out, Church would be an above-average starting CFer. Neither Bowden nor Robinson are Church fans, so I can't imagine that it would take anything more than a mid-level prospect to get a deal done. And, by the way, Gathright is garbage.

Just a shot in the dark, here...But I would LOVE to see KW acquire Ryan Church somehow. Church is an excellent player: A gamer in his prime (he's 27, I believe). He's with Washington's AAA team right now. He doesn't seem to be Jim Bowden's type of player: Not flashy enough I guess. Anyway, I think he'd be a great fit on the SOX; he'd give us a real backup LF (adios Pablo), and he'd be an above-average starter if Pods can't get it together.
