Kansas Basketball are kind of like the Cubs......so much hype, good follow thru, Choke big time in the end. Except, we dont believe in Curses, we just choke!!! Most of us newer graduates can laugh about it, I dont think its funny to the older crowd.

They compromise probably 5% of "fans." They're emotional enough to get off their asses, go to the computer, and write something on a message board. Of the 4-5 Illinois fans on this board in particular, I've never seen anyone complain or be illogical about their opinions. If you want annoying fans, check out Kansas fans. Talk about thinking they're entitled. I still never understood why they considered themselves an elite school. When was your last NC? 88? Aren't you like 2-5 over the last 80 years? Please. sounds like an illini fan who just cant deal with the fact his program is as useless as any BCS conference program in the nation. Missouri fans could care less about Illinois, their natural rival is Kansas. Go ahead and research the antlers, Quantraill's raid. I think you can take your Rose Bowl avatar down, you can save it for your next rose bowl in 20+ years.

We haven't been an almost elite program until recently, and you haven't come down from your ncaa title years until somewhat recently. Now that both teams are pretty much a notch below the elite of the elite programs and are on a very similar level the last few years/perhaps in coming years (at least in my opinion), I think it's at least a pretty good rivalry. Throw on the Gordon stuff and the location, and I think it's a rivalry that is here to stay. I'm pretty sure I'll want to beat IU in bball really badly even when Sampson, Gordon, Weber, etc are gone. I still read here and am still pissed off by every loss and the direction (albeit short term, it seems) of the program, I just don't post as much because what is there to say after half these losses? It's the same routine every game and it's hard to add much to the discussion. Make a f***ing free throw once in a while and you might win a game, among other things. /end rant. Very respectful post here my friend. I live and die with KU basketball and take any rip on KU very personally as well. I have one other KU fan on this board, who disappears faster than a charachter on lost. I guess its the concept of brainwash that goes hand in hand with the school you attend. IU is not a natural rival, Illanoy fans think they are a rivalry because they have looted your best player. Sampson is scum, every Big 12 fan can agree with that. The problem is Weber never has any back up plans, and you are greatly suffering now. Instead of accepting this fact, you blame and complain and cry about how everything is unfair. I think Illanoy fans should stop b****ing, realize Weber is a joke, and accept the fact they will suck till hes gone. Hell, you could be a KU fan and choke every f***ing year. Now im taking my drunk ass to bed. 18-0 smells alot better than a crying Illini nation.
