  1. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 12:11 AM) I'm hoping that this year puts to rest the myth that Bruce Weber is a better coach than Bill Self in any aspect on the college game (recruiting, player development, in-game, you name it). Self is an elite coach of an elite program and somehow managed to stay classy when Weber pulled his mock funeral and "I almost beat Self with SIU" junk for absolutely no reason other insecurity (I presume). I hope Self sends Weber a postcard from the championship game this season, because that's the only way Weber is going to see one again. With the front of the post card being MVP of the tourney, Darnell Jackson.
  2. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) I miss beating you guys.... You know the KU men's football team, bball team and women's bball team is like 37-4 combined. geez!!! ah the days of jackson "count dracula" vroman.
  3. but dont worry illinois has a good recruiting class coming in in 2012, not that the big boys wont have better and more talented classes. I love my weber...bam
  4. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 10:56 PM) Kinda like Kansas losing in the first round of the tournament. KU has lost in the first round like twice in ten years...i guess we forget the eliite 8's in like 4/6 years recently.
  5. The sun rises and the illini lose....goes hand in hand
  6. Im never one to go crazy over top rankings in college football, but good transfer. It is more on the coaching schemes in my opinion.
  7. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) long time man, fellas are looking reals good this year. Still impressed over that complete dismantling road win at BC last Saturday. Hear anything about Chalmers aside from the normal FUD? good to see you back my right hand man. he had a minor groin pull, if it wasnt Loylola MD, he would have played. I cant wait to see Sasha v. Aleks Maric on saturday, Kaun always playsh is best versus him.
  8. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 10:17 AM) You are a NC fan, yet you fail to spell CHAPEL Hill right in both posts. Come on, LOL. Huge fan......Go Tarrhels
  9. Haven't the cubs traded for Roberts like 45x this offseason and each time its not happened.
  10. KU undefeated entering conference. Darnell Jackson is god
  11. I could care less where Kansas ended up, im just pumped to be ranked preseason and have most of the games be on tv next year. what a cool year!!
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 09:34 PM) Well, this bowl season absolutely sucked. not for the jayhawks.

QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) It was an effective zombie movie. It had zombies, great music, and was a fun movie to watch. I'll see it again relatively soon hopefully and will expand on this if you want, but I enjoyed it (also, let it be known, I'm a big Danny Boyle fan, and I did really enjoy the original; I just felt like I got more of what I wanted (zombies!) out of the second) The Zombies were better in the first one, these zombies sucked.

QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 07:48 AM) Really? I saw 28 Weeks before seeing 28 Days, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was done fantastically, and have been meaning to see it again but just haven't gotten around to it. I did enjoy it more than 28 Days Later though. How??

Netflix update: Saw 28 weeks later tonight, hated it.........the original was twice as good. The plot lines in this movie make zero sense nd kept me going, "oh come on".
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 01:32 AM) Make it stop. Change your sig....drastic times call for drastic measures.
  18. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 11:34 PM) June Jones looks to be leaving Hawaii for SMU. SMU better be paying him at least twice the 800K salary that Hawaii was giving him. What is the appeal of SMU?
  19. I would love Wash St as a 2 seed in my bracket, they are not good at all.
  20. um whatever KW says believe the opposite.
  21. QUOTE(gbuk @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 05:37 PM) A little harsh on the ripping of Jackson. He's a very good player on an incredibly talented and balanced team, but special shouldn't be a word tossed around with regularity. He's improved so much. I think he is working his way into the NBA at this point.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) Wow....Rice had a monster game. He could be a great pickup for the Bears as well. Looks like the type of guy that could be a complete back. Not as explosive as Mendenhall but I don't think the Bears will have a shot at Mendenhall unless they take him at 14, which I wouldn't do. no way a RB in 1st round, bears need O line and a WR
