I don't know if I've ever seen a manager bring in a new pitcher and then have the new pitcher start off with the intentional walk.
I know I've seen the Sox do it. It had to be either Manuel or Bevs.

It's been a long time since OC had a big hit for the Sox. How about OC comes through tonight?
Even a broken clock...
I just got back from a weekend in Bar Harbor, Maine. We stayed at a B&B. I had no internet, TV or daily paper from Friday until tonight. As strange as it was to be so out of touch, it was really nice. Never missed it.
I think there is a simple explanation for the "slow down:" not much to say that hasn't been said. What I mean is, when someone posts I can almost predict the reaction. I'm sure other people can too. I think this is why there is more activity in the non-baseball forums where conversations aren't as predictable...or so it seems to me.

To quote my buddy jphat, this is just one of those games.
Tough to say that when there is a no hitter into the 7th.

The sac bunt and a runer in scoring positon when the guy should have been out on his pop up. Our defense can be so atrocious at times
CQ says "sometimes, we don't suck."

Very likely that run will score. Show some leadership OC and call off Uribe!
Oh come on. Uribe was calling for it all the way and was under it...then over ran it.
