  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:28 PM) Do we even have double digit hits YTD? Last night we had 10.
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) [/b] Not gonna happen. We haven't been a team that just "adjusts" and gets it going. Your posts have been pretty unbearable lately.
  3. Oh, and fwiw, my lineup for the Sox right now would look like this: Pierre LF Beckham 2B Quentin RF Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Rios CF Kotsay/Jones DH Teahen 3B Ramirez SS
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) I liked those last 2 swings of his I wouldn't say I was a fan. He's swinging for the fences, which is not what he does. When he was effective, he has a short swing and a quick bat with all the power being generated through bat speed. 2008 CQ would have hit that 1st pitch a mile, today he fouled it back. I'm not concerned about it yet though.
  5. Carlos' swing is a touch long right now. When he was kicking ass in 08, it was all hands and wrists.
  6. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) How does hawk and stoney know everyone Broadcasters are basically members of the team that have nothing to do but talk to people and observe things. Its awesome.
  7. I'm using T-Time from now on fwiw. Threw it out there and he finally hit one hard.
  8. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:06 PM) Eric Wed... oh wait He was far worse than any manager not named Jim Leyland at his pitchers properly. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) it was just one game, i was being facetious, why so serious I wasn't sure. With the way some people talk about the Twins as if they are guided by the hands of God...
  9. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:02 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=290521104 Good point. Not like we won the 1st 2 games of that series 6-2 and 7-4.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:00 PM) Now can we please stop acting like the Twins never f*** up on the bases? That's twice in the last two games. We never really had issues with the Twins at home.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) I was gonna say the Indians are throwing some guy named Mitch Talbot out there vs. DET, why couldn't we face him?? Then again, he'd probably shut us out. Ya, instead we got their 3-headed monster of Westbrook/Carmona/Masterson.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:52 PM) Froze Gordo right there. Good to see Pierre trying to get into scoring position Not really his fault. Beckham fell behind in the count early, and then Quentin popped up the 1st pitch.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) We're 4 games into the season. All numbers are skewed at this point. But the BB shows the approach hasn't been all that bad. We're hitting like .150 as a team right now. I'll go on and assume that won't last. Its at .185 now, and there's no question that will go way up, but the fact of the matter is, you have to look past the BB numbers. Carmona couldn't throw a strike to save his life. 25% of our walks came from him. Should we really be praising them for not swinging at bad pitches? How many runners have we left on base?
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) The numbers are very telling, and i'd agree that OBP is going to be a huge problem for this team. Your point still applies thought. Even when we do get on base, we aren't doing anything with them. Through 4 games, we have 24 hits and 24 BB and we still only have a .323 team OBP. And when you factor in the 3 HBP and 1 IBB, thats not good.
