  1. Unf***ingbelievable. They aren't hitting the ball hard at all/
  2. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) he's barely getting it out of the infield! He's falling away from every pitch he sees. Anything on the outer half he is hitting softly. And anything on the inner half he's chopping into the dirt foul.
  3. Apparently we want curtain calls for every PK HR this season lol.
  4. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) Peavy is Peavy, doing what he needs to do, just not particularly efficient with it. Get off MLB The Show and you would know this. lol I assumed it was still raining. My apologies.
  5. How did we score our run? How's Peavy looking?
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 03:46 PM) Really, you genuinely believe this? I looked at Detroit's roster before the season and thought they looked like a debacle in waiting. They had no size, everything was on the outside, they had zero depth in the frontcourt, and all their backcourt guys are only effective with the ball in their hands. For as much credit as Joe Dumars has received over the years, he's had a couple horrible seasons. The Billups trade was beyond retarded, then he spent all their cap money on 2 free agents who barely even play for them now.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 03:45 PM) Avery Johnson Paul Silas Thom Thibodeau John Kuester Lester Conner Tim Grgurich Eddie Jordan Mark Jackson Jeff Van Gundy I prepared that list of high level, experienced assistant coaches and guys out of work last offseason. Thibodeau and Scott, who you didn't list, would be my top 2 options. Maybe Mark Jackson, but I'm still iffy.

  9. God do I hate ESPN. Nomar said on Baseball Tonight that there is good diversity in their lineup. He said we have a great thing at the top of the order with Alexei Ramirez. He also said "Juan Pierre, who is great in that 2-hole." Then Bobby Valentine said that Beckham will remind people a ton of Nomar, and that he'll bring up the bottom of the order.

If you're doing a RTTS, and you get placed on the Blue Jays, just start another one. It's just horrible. They suck. Their stadium sucks.

    MLB 10: The Show

I'm really starting to dislike this game. My 4th year, I was a full time starter at 1B for the Blue Jays for most of the season, played well, hit .295, had 12 HR and 65ish RBI. Then they send me down to start my 5th year, and promptly trade me to the Marlins. On top of all that, they are giving me really stupid goals that are making my hitting statistics decrease. And another thing that bothers me, every single time I see the 3rd base coach, it's a hit and run, and it's almost impossible to ever make contact with the ball. They throw me a breaking ball 9 feet off the plate, I swing anyway, and when the asshole runner is thrown out at 2nd, I get the failed hit and run. Yesterday I step up to the plate, runner on 2nd, 1 out, before I see a pitch, he gets picked off of 2nd. I failed my goal. -10. Awesome.
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 03:27 PM) Placido Polanco went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBI in the rout of the Nationals on Monday. Man, i'm so glad with don't have to deal with this dude. I decided to bench him in favor of Martin Prado on my fantasy team. Yay me. Thornton! 1 down!
  13. The ESPN guys have been slurping the Indians all day. "They're so talented. They're so close." They suck.
