QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) Which is what I just said. And I offered vindication....

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:42 AM) This site who go down in flames...... WHAT!?!?!
-
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) No, we would be just stealing a major component of the Manny 3 way trade that now is dead. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3840328 No deal.

QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) what the hell would we give the red sox? Reading is a primary tool in life...

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) Well take this with a grain of salt since it's the Ny Daily News, actually that probably means it won't happen: While the Sox chose to sit Ramirez vs. the Twins last night at Fenway for unspecified reasons, Tampa Bay was nearing a deal that would ship Aubrey Huff - one of Boston's primary acquisitions in the Ramirez blockbuster - to the White Sox. Me likey very much!

QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:35 AM)DANYS BAEZ, 28 AGE: 27. B/T: R/R. HT/WT: 6-3/225. BORN/LIVES: Pinar Del Rio, Cuba/Miami. HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a free agent in January 2004. CONTRACT STATUS: $3.5-million in second year of two-year, $6.5-million deal; Rays hold $4-million option for 2006 with $1-million buyout. PROJECTED ROLE: Closer. DID YOU KNOW?: Baez converted 30 of 33 save opportunities. His .909 save percentage was fourth in the American League and seventh in the majors. Well, he is a FA after this season and I am sure that getting off a s***ty team like the D-Rays and coming to a good team like the Sox would make him happy and hopefully he would re-sign. I believe Huff has 1 more year on the contract after this season so that should be fine. In this case, I say KW goes for it!

That chick Leslie Monteiro is ripping the s*** outta you in the comments section fyi.
-
Holy s***. I also completely forgot that I got a free picture with me in a NY uni and with Babe and Mickey on both sides of me. It is an awesome picture!
-
Point's well taken. Relaford killed the s*** out of the Sox last year though. Didn't he go like 5-5 against the Sox in 1 game last season?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) Fair enough...
-
QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) I dont think its that steep when u consider its for a shot at the World Series...also Huff is signed for one more year i believe, well he's an arbitration guy, so we wouldnt be renting a player If you see it like that then it is a good deal. I am not 100% sure on either's contract situation but it would be a risk I would take...
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) There's not enough roster space as is. Is Relaford > Willie??? If he got cut by the Rockies, I'm guessing no.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) Yes, yes he could. He is bad. LMFAO!
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) I do that in a heartbeat, wouldn't be enough for Lamar though. Lets say he offers us Huff and Baez for BMac, Sweeney, Tracy, and Fields? To me, that is a bit steep.
-
1st the Royals let him go. Now the Rockies.......blah!
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) Yeah, I'd love beaz in our pen don't get me wroug. I just don't think he's worth a Chris Young or Ryan Sweeney. Definitely not. He is a quality arm with goof stuff but to overpay for him would be bad. Baez and Huff for MBac, Sweeney, and Tracy??? Yes, No?
-
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) Because I know KW will Not to be an ass but I asked Kalapse. He has been very confident with what he has been saying lately when it comes to rumors and deals.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) Maybe its their Devil Ray background distorting my view but I just hate the idea of giving up B-Mac and plenty more for three of their guys. And I'm well aware of the three in question from fantasy leagues and I've seen them a bit but it just gives me an uneasy feeling. With Schmidt, Burnett, Wagner, Griffey, or people of that ilk-I can be bothered by what we are giving up but I would be happy with what we get back. With the Tampa fire sale, its just too unproven of a package for me to feel that THIS makes us World Series favorites and that is the criteria that you must be judged by if you are going to trade the future for the present. Wow. If you honestly think Huff and Baez are not proven then, IMO, you are mistaken. Baez whooped our ass when he was with Cleveland and he is a good reliever, better than Jizzcan at least. Huff is a great bat and I would love to see him as our starting 1B in 2006. I like the trade but for the right price. LETS GO FOR IT!
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) Don't be an ass. The Sox WILL make atleast one trade. Why are you so confident in this?
-
Aahh, what the hell. Sorry for my jackass comment. This trade deadline bulls*** got to me. Anyways, honestly, I think the Sox will make 1 trade, don't know big or small, and then get somebody off waivers after the deadline. JMO.
-
I just want to add this very quickly and I will be off: War of the Worlds = BLAH! :puke

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Chris Getz. Gotcha, thanks!
