Red Sox will explore Ramirez trade
I highly doubt he gets traded. A few teams might inquire but I am almost certain he will not get traded during the season.

Chicago sports joke....
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Classic post-MJ Chicago joke: (sure most of you have heard it) Five of the most loyal Chicago sports fans (Bulls, Hawks, Bears, Cub, Sox) were climbing a mountain one day. As they climbed higher, they argued as to which one of them was the most loyal of all. They continued fighting until they reached the top. The Hawks fan hurled himself off the mountain, shouting, "this is for the Hawks" as he fell to his doom. Not wanting to be outdone the Bulls fan threw himself off the edge shouting "this is for MJ's dynasty" then the Bears fan jumped and said " this is for DA COACH". The two remaining fans looked at each other in stunned silence. After a minute the Sox fan bellowed... "THIS IS FOR THE SOUTH SIDE!" and then he pushed the Cub fan off the mountain!!!!! I have heard a different version of this with a Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, Cubs, and Cardinals fan...

Chicago sports joke....
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) http://www.angelfire.com/il2/cubssuck/wrigley.htm You have to pee in a trough at Wrigley. Outdated plumbing and sewerage systems along with drunk Cubs fans who can't aim into the trough have caused 90 years of urine to soak into Wrigley, giving it that lovely smell which earns Wrigley the nickname, "the urinal" Priceless I have examined the whole sita andI love it. All priceless stuff. Check out the "Proof of Stupidity" section and look at "Macho Men" :headshake :fthecubs

USA Today
"A good example of how they work so well together came May 31 when the White Sox and Angels were tied going into the bottom of the ninth. Farmer came back from commercial and urged the Sox, "Let's go win it on a (Jermaine) Dye homer" before turning things over to Rooney. Three pitches later, Rooney described that exact scenario as Dye's blast cleared the fence with his trademark, "That's a White Sox winner!" I rememebr that like it was yesterday!

Phil Rogers on Trades
That was by far the worst trade deadline update ever. Who gives a s*** about the Braves? Who care how Scott Williamson does when he comes back with the Cubs?

He thinks the Cubs will trade for a relief pitcher. They also might go get Matt Lawton...

He bets the Braves will make a trade for starting pitching. The middle-level pitchers...

Burnett very open about testing FA and if he does come to the Sox, getting him to sign long-term would be tough. He days Burnett would realize that KW re-signed Freddy and he might be able to re-sign Burnett...

2000 White Sox micro-managed line-up and he believes we shouldn't do much with the lineup except maybe a LH hitter....

If we take Mike Lowell, then we wouldn't have to give up more in talent, in fact, less.

He believes the Sox WILL get a big name pitcher and that we have a 98% chance of making the playoffs...

The calm before the storm?
QUOTE(heirdog @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) No, I can post knowledgably. I was just answering your question. I have nothing against you but you asked a question and I felt I should answer. And its unbiased coming from me because I am new to the board and don't have a history of what you are like or not like. I just let you know what I gathered from my short time on the board. BTW, tell your 11-year-old bro that he looks like he is 12. That wasn't serious was it???

The calm before the storm?
QUOTE(heirdog @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Soxfan1, is that really your picture on your sig? That is why age is a big issue...you should remove your 7th grade yearbook picture from the sig. Put an updated pic or wait to put a pic back up when you start shaving at least once every two weeks. Although you seem very knowledgable about the Sox, its hard to take you seriously when it looks like you are a sad 12-year-old from Danville, IL wearing old school fashions. No that is not me, that is my 11 year old brother. He dared me to put a sig of him on here... :headshake Well, I'm sorry that an older picture of me is wearing on your mind and prevents you from posting knowledgeably.....

Lastly, I would love to know why age is such a big issue here...
