  1. Its very simple. Buehrle, Schmidt, Garland, Garcia, Contreras > Beuhrle, Garcia, Garland, Contreras, El Duque
  2. QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Unless the tigers have mark prior pitching i think we have a pretty good chance of sweeping THEM Or Jerome Williams, Roberto Novoa, Greg Maddux, and Ryan Dempster.
  3. Simple....money. Which team doesn't want more? It doesn't seem like to much of a deal to me but everyone has their opinions and preferances.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) Jiri welsch was traded to the bucks for a future second rounder. Meh, not that big of a deal. Welsch was either a Rocket or a Celtic...which is it? I can't remember.
  5. Man, I'm so f***ing pumped right now. I always get psyched as hell before games! GO SOX!
  6. Which LA is that? LAD or LAA? Just wondering but I'm guessing the Angels. But still, Contreras and El Duque have been very bad and/or inconsistent lately. Schmidt = Consistency and Ace.
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) In other words, easy. It was a scrimmage lol! C'mon. Trust me, I am not lessening your accomplishments.
  8. Drew Gooden has a pimp-ass suit right there. Personally, I'd go with a black pin-stripe suit with a grey shirt and a nice tie.
  9. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) My dad grew up in the Merrillville area and is half Serbian, as I am 25% serb. Glad to see we have some Serb power around Soxtalk. YES! I sent you a PM the longest time ago whe nyou posted your 1st article that was published. I saw your last name was Bozic or something like that and I PM'ed you asking if you were Serbian. Oh well....how about a little Serbian flag smiley???
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) Easy huh, try playing in a f***ing game. Adrenaline can only keep you going for so long. Easy HAHAHAH I never said it was easy. In a real game, I would be out by half-time lol...
  11. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) holy mother of f*** -- we're debating flag football vs. high school football now? i blame myself for this. We're not debating. We're comparing our football experiences.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Try playing on a 110 degree astroplay field at Mike LB, FS and CB and then going and playing TE and kicking PATs. You'd passout on the first possession. Naw. And this is honestly my belief. I practiced and scrimmaged with my HS football team last summer. I played FB, S, and Punter. It wasn't hard at all. But as long as I stay hydrated, I'm good. I'm in excellent physical condition as I play soccer and baseball ALL the time.
  13. All I can say is that if you guys sit back, think hard about the trade deadline, and look back at the feeling you get when KW makes a big trade. Now think of that with the Sox getting a PREMIERE pitcher in their run to the WORLD MOTHERf***ING SERIES.....HELL YEAH!
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) I was a linebacker, who was the only one on the team that could knockdown an extra point. You try and play both sides of a game, you'd quit after 1 quarter. Flag-football, 8th grade, Offensive Lineman and Safety....0 sacks allowed AND 8 pics in 12 games.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) I hate you. Funniest.Post.Evar. Roberto Clemente lol.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) I did in 4 years of HS, not to mention linebacking duties, you ready to talk? YOU WERE A KICKER! AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! EDIT: What was your FG percentage then!?!?
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Soccer is the perfect name for the sport. How? Football or Futbal is the real name of the sport, well, because we use our FEET! American Footbal should be called handlball or kickball or something lol... Foreigners! Whoot Whoot!
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) They score more points than anyone because they kick extra points which anyone can do. I could go out and kick extra points for the Bears if I was given a shot. Don't put too much thought into that and don't get your hopes up. Knowck down a 12 yard kick consistently then talk to me lol.
  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) You got big 300 lb. men throwing their bodies around and using physical talent for 59:55 of the game then it comes down to some 4'0" 96 lb soccer player. AHAHAHAHAHA!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) ^^^ Indeed. Anytime a soccer player is deciding the outcome of an American Football game, something is wrong. Uhhhh, I hate that. America is the onl damn country that calls it soccer. Pisses me off. And the only one not to use the metric system. And the only.......
  21. QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) I get Pizza from this Serbian place in Crown Point, IN called Bronco's which is ran by Serbians and when Valde is in Chicago or comes to Merriville for the Serbian fest he comes into the bar and drinks congnac all night. NW Indiana is packed with Serbians. Munster, Dyer, Crown Point, Merrilville, etc. We're gonna re-populate!!!!!!
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:05 PM) But kickers aren't under appreciated. I don't want ot get too off-topic but yes, they are. They score more points than most actual players and the ycan win or lose a game with just 1 kick. Back to baseball...
  23. That's what I thought. It said it is the "RSN Alternate" so I'm guessing thats it. Thanks guys.
  24. I meant that middle relievers are under-appreciated like kickers but that is off-topic.
  25. It's scary what our record might be if we acquire a big-name pitcher. 50-24 without one of them. And it's not like we would be giving up any major league talent right now. BMac has contributed to 2 wins, Anderson has to none, Sweeney to None, Marte to very few. Schmidt, Oswalt, or Burnett = a better Sox team.
