where are all the cheerleaders now??? I know its second guessing but I was really thinking that we should have hit Uribe for Cintron. Uribe has a much better chance of getting ahold of one while the best Cintron was going to do was draw a walk.

QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) and if you believe this team is going anywhere with their half assed effort and excuses for everything you're wrong exactly! so damn tired of hearing these fans saying everything will be ok and the season isnt over yet. there arent any signs of things turning around anytime soon

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) The reason Florida isn't on the list is their schedule. They have an extremely tough stretch with Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Georgia which I don't think they'll be able to come out undefeated. Also, with Leak struggling with the spread offense, I wouldn't be surprised if he drops out of the Heisman race and fans start to call for Tim Teblow to take over. UF has a brutal schedule as you said. They also have at Tenn, South Carolina and and at FSU on their schedule. I think they are a 9-3 team at best this season. They bring back a whole new line and they have no running threat right now. Their secondary should give up a lot of big plays against teams that can throw. I am willing to bet anything that Tebow wont be the starter for any game this year unless Leak gets hurt. Tebow might have the better potential to run Meyers offense but Tebow would get eaten alive in the SEC his first year. Plus I dont think Meyer's offense can work as well as he envisions in the SEC.

QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) Yep. It's almost as if they take pride in seeing their team losing just to prove themselves right. thats not even close to being a correct statement. we just see what this team is NOW, not what they could be or was. baseball is the hardest game to just flip a switch to get it going. this team has managed to blow a 6 game lead in less than a month, why do you think it will just turn around? I hope it does though

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) So you disagree that a long postseason run, with a lot of tight games, won't possibly influence a pitcher's ability for the next season? I thought it was a pretty common theory in baseball that these pitchers have a hard time bouncing back the following year after the added innings/stress. maybe after 4 or 5 straight years in the playoffs. not after 1 postseason run
