He's the only starter I have condifence in right now. Here's to a CG shutout :drink

Let's play as hard as we did last night.

And Mack will not be in CF tonight, so if nothing else, we don't have to pencil in that automatic free run for the Yankees.

Go get em big Jon.

Ok, someone has to say it-

Anyone else think the Yankees' rotation sounds like something out of a porn flick?

We have faced their Wang and triumphed. We must now defeat their Johnson!

I bet you miss the days where Aaron Small was in their rotation. Along with Moose.

Threw up an 8.46 ERA this year, was DFA'd a few weeks back. Don't know where he ended up.

Im 1 for 1 this year when posting in a game thread (yesterday) so why not give it another crack? :gosox2:

wow i cant believe RJ's era is in the 5's. Lets get some runs tonight!!!!!

These are the times I wish this team still had the Widge. :(

Work tonight so I will be watching game via ESPB Bottom Line, actually it will be blacked out, so I will have no clue as to what is going on til I get home. Yippeee!

I didn't realize he only had three losses...

how is it possible that people were calling him Judy and the walking tampon in game threads a couple months ago...?

This kid is starting to look like a contender for the AL cy young.

His ERA might get in the way of that.

No, no he's not. It's not even close. People (including myself) were complaining about him because he had a 7.11 ERA in April, 5.40 in May, and 4.50 in June, even though he is being paid a ridiculous amount of money (which I still think is way too much for him). He has a 4.99 ERA on the year, along with a 1.40 WHIP, and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentance as "Cy Young".

Lets go JG. Keep us going because we need you badly. Hopefully they offense puts some runs on the board quick and often. :gosox1:

Unless the sentence is:

Pitchers like Jon Garland don't win the Cy Young.

or possibly:

Jon Garland came into custody of the Cy Young after bashing Francisco Liriano, Johan Santana, Jonathon Papelbon, Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, and B.J. Ryan in the head with a poorly fashioned cane.

LOL

You'll have to come up with an avatar of a poorly fashioned cane.

But yea, you got my drift ;)

I figured 6 was enough to prove the point.

Keep it close, Jon. We own Rivera.

Bats come alive!
