is that this years team just doesn't want it as badly as last years team, if at all. im tired of emotionally investing myself into this team only to have them disappoint day in and day out. to get shut out by kenny rogers of all people.. freakin' ridiculous!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! i think soriano is a very good player.. but this is NOT what we need. as much as he has improved on his defense, he's still a liability (not that pods is playing any better this year). if we trade bmac, we have no chance of landing a top reliever since we can no longer trade garcia/vasquez. and bmac's gonna be a stud. DON'T DO IT KENNY! even if we can turn around and trade soriano for a top notch SP, what team(s) come to mind that is in the market for soriano that has a top notch SP?

haha...i don't think its gonna happen either. but if it did, imagine; pods iguchi tejada konerko thome dye aj crede anderson if anderson just hits .290 with 20 steals, 15 hrs, our lineup would be STACKED. coupled with the pitching, and ON PAPER, we should win 110+ games. again, just ON PAPER.

well apparently im on drugs and insane. perhaps the drugs is for the insanity? lets think about it. garland had ONE good year. do you really think his stock is that high? on the other hand, young has had some good years, but in the minors. so, like i said, comes down to would you trade garland for someone with young's talents? i don't think there is a right or wrong answer at this point. but az did trade vasquez, essentially for young and vizcaino. el duque is a throw in and vizcaino is serviceable. only time will tell how good young is and how consitent garland can be. i simply asked for everyone's opinion. apparently that makes me kookoo and on the stuff =) haha

i guess it call comes down to whether you can trade garland for someone with young's potential. key word being potential. i personally don't think you can. but then again, i've never even seen young play. but from what i've read, descriptions from baseball america has him; 'fastest base runner in the minors' 'most complete prospect' sounds pretty good.

of el duque/vizcaino/young? i think i would have rather done that.

where is everyone getting this tejada to the sox rumor from? i haven't heard anything, not even a whimper on this. but then again, i never heard the vasquez to the sox either. please elaborate. thanks

i think a good trade overall. even if kW doesn't follow it up with another trade. if young turns out to be another carlos beltran (the good beltran), then maybe we have to rethink this a bit. but you can't really argue with a starting 5 of; buerhleyleileilleely garcia contreras garland vasquez i wouldn't mind seeing b mac going long relief this year either. el duque and vizcaino weren't huge loses. i hated the garcia for jeremy reed trade cuz i think reed's gonna be a stud soon. but now with a ring, i don't think its that bad of a trade.
