  1. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 21, 2007 -> 01:37 PM) That's exactly how I imagined it when envisioning Buerhle actually saying it, considering his demeanor, but you never know when it's in print. What did he say?
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 20, 2007 -> 08:56 PM) Thome is up and that's good for this team. Sweenye went down and that's OK because you know that he will most likely be up for good later this year or to start 2008. Nobody seemed to complain a whole lot last year about Ozuna and Mack was a good acquisition. Pods is the LF'er on this team for 07 and will be again when back from the DL. But, I don't expect him here in 08. Funny that Pods is the LF'er on the '07 team when he's not even playing... and won't be until after the break. But we have limited options in that area and I agree with Sweeney getting more playing time in AAA and hopefully working on his weak spots. Eventually we'll see him in a White Sox uniform again later this year or next.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 20, 2007 -> 09:00 PM) What has surprised me the most is how people have gone crazy with the bullpen. David came into the Cubs series with a 1.64 ERA, and really had been one of the best relief pitchers in the game this season, and after two games, we had people calling for him to be sent down to AAA. As I said in the gamethread, this bullpen is young. They are going to have struggles. Now Fathom brought up a good point, that the youth in the bullpen could, and will hurt us. He is probably right, and Williams knew that coming in. Hopefully, the "vets" in Macdougal-Thornton-Jenks can step up, and get these guys over the hump. Good post.
  4. I always thought Hilary was hot.
  5. Fresh Prince, alright!
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ May 20, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) Here's the exact problem with this bullpen....we have too many young guys. You can't go through stretches where this many of them are struggling....it's a recipe for disaster. We should bring back Nelson.
  7. Never have Aardsma pitch against the Cubs again.
  8. Well this is good to see.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:27 PM) Why on earth are pitchers so bad against their former teams? It's been amazing to see all over baseball this year in that regard. Beat me to it. Can you give a few examples? I'm rather curious.
  10. That's why you leave AJ in the game... he loves this s***.
  11. YEAH f*** YEAH!%$!^%~@^$@%~!^@#&$&&
  12. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) Dye to hit the granny off of the former teammate *almost* like the other night...but different team. Don't you look silly.
  13. This should be interesting.
  14. WOW. Did not see that coming. It's all because of Thome, I hope you all know that.
  15. Set this f***er off Jim.
  16. Just hit a homer... you know you want to.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) Apparently Thornton is dead.
  18. Sisco needs to go far away from the MLB roster.
  19. QUOTE(Iguchicago @ May 20, 2007 -> 02:59 PM) WHERES GIO GONZALEZ In AA...?
