  1. Carlos MOTHER f***ING Quentin. Kenny can get one right every now and then I guess...
  2. All I gotta say is this... CY CABRERA! Add another one to the list of contenders. It's getting REAL crowded.
  3. Another stranded RISP. I can't stand all these wasted opportunities to score.
  4. OC is just frustrating. REALLY glad we didn't sign him to an extension after we traded for him. Take the picks, admit the failure, and move on. Whats the FA crop gonna look like for 2B/SS next year? Assuming Richar doesn't do well (and that might not be a good assumption, but we'll see).
  5. QUOTE (sweatpants @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:13 PM) I came on here just to say what the hell was that? Pitcher can't find the zone and swings at the 1st pitch, pathetic!! See, even a pair of sweatpants can figure it out quicker than ARam!!!
  6. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) That should get him a trip to AAA. How long will a nice spring keep him around? Well, considering we have the most stubborn manager in the AL, I say he's around until mid-June.
  7. .339. Get his f***ing ass on the plane to Charlotte right now. I'd rather play with 8.
  8. Lol, ARam doing his best to emulate his hero Juan Uribe. What a f***ing joke. Go to hell.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) Who in the world told all of our hitters to be this aggressive against Cabrera? Must have been our super-duper hitting coach. I think his name is Walker.
  10. QUOTE (Texsox @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) BTW, you heard it first here, by me. Brian Anderson will be the hero of the game. Can't tell you how I know . . . You work for the MLB scripting committee?
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) I don't know how much longer we can have this underachieving 1/2 punch at the top of the lineup. Between just miserable production from our 9 hitter and the Swish/OC combo, I'm shocked we've been able to keep our record where it is. I'm just hoping they both heat up with the weather.. maybe.
  12. God Cabrera is awful. What a waste of a starting pitcher.
  13. And Ramirez's OPS closing in my AJP's batting average...
  14. ARam is the last person I want at the plate right now. Damn.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Thome draws the walk, 1 on 2 out for Paulie. I got this... this is good.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) Not at all. At least I'm realistic. For someone to say Uribe makes Ozzie look like ARod offensively is beyond blind. If one really believes that, it shows they would either never give Uribe a fair shake or have no idea about baseball. BTW, the Cuban missle is a huge improvement. He's an on-base machine. I hate Juan Uribe probably more than a lot of people here, but Ozzie was the worse hitter. No question about it. Uribe is on the list though.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 02:03 PM) Rain Delay How long? Have they said?
  18. More: Ozzie never had a season with more walks than K's. Juan is 50 walks short of Ozzies career total in 8 less seasons. I will give it to Ozzie though, he didn't strike out much. He just sucked at everything else.
  19. Well, Ozzie has a career 68 OPS+. Thats unbelievably horrible. In comparison, Uribe's is 79. Ozzie never put up an OPS+ over 85... 15 points under the average. Juan has atleast put up one at 111. Ozzie
  20. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 01:49 PM) I wouldnt call a career .264 hitter one of the worst hitters the game has ever seen. He was no dynamo with the stick, but thats a little bit of embellishment. In comparison Juan makes Ozzie look like A-rod I don't know, I remember reading an article from one of those SABR guys that analyzed the stats for all the hitters and compiled a list of the 25 worst hitters of all time. Ozzie was on there, as was Uribe and Neifi Perez. Those are the only three I can remember. I am trying ot find it, but can't seem to do so.
