  1. Ahahaha. Has an entire team ever been reassigned for the AAA team? I'm seriously hoping it hasn't cause then we could go down in history. There seriously isn't a single person in this lineup today I would keep. Not a one.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 6, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) Even more fun, how about we use OPS+: ERSTAD 85 OZUNA 29 DYE 102 KONERKO 76 IGUCHI 98 CREDE 45 CINTRON -6 SWEENEY 30 MOLINA -100 So s***ty. Now, for reference sake, let's look at their OPS+ career: ERSTAD 96 [-11] (below average) OZUNA 79 [-50] (well below average) DYE 110 [-8] (above average) KONERKO 116 [-40] (above average) Iguchi 100 [-2] (exactly average) CREDE 93 [-48] (below average) CINTRON 82 [-88] (well below average) Sweeney 21 [+8] (disgustingly below average) MOLINA -100 [N/A] (as I said before, 0-for-8, so obviosuly, ROCK BOTTOM) The people in CAPS are the ones that are hitting so far below their career numbers that is sick. The ones in normal script are the ones who are near, at, or above their career numbers (but mostly below), as can be seen by the +/- tally in the brackets. Not looking good. Law of averages says they will eventually turn it around... Here's to hoping it starts today.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) -100 Thats impressive It's also the bare minimum He's only had 8 ABs and no hits, so he has a 0 OPS (and consequently a -100 OPS+).
  4. QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) 2 times they cut away talk about Wang's No-NO ....................MB not one word was said till after 7 and not even a live cut in by ESPN. I know the game is on Fox, so it is a little apples and oranges. The difference is the Yankees game is on Fox too. So they have the right to do a live cut in. I'm sure ESPN could have done something, maybe, but the Sox game wasn't on ESPN.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) More sad defense by the worst defensive 2nd baseman in the AL. On second look, he actually just lost the ball. No more good effort.
  6. Lol at Gooch. That looked funny. Good effort though.
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:35 PM) You're part of a minority, but I agree with you. It would have been such a great financial move for the Sox on top of all the offense that Bonds brings. Even if people were to boo him, they'd still be paying for Sox tickets to boo him. I actually wanted him in Chicago too. How can you NOT want a player who has a f***ing sick OBP? I just hate what he stands for. Cheating, steroids, and lying. Again, this is my opinion as nothing has been "proven." But to me, its CLEARLY obvious he did.
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:34 PM) And when Ozzie Guillen exiles Brian "the Once and Future King" eh? -- f*** the sanctimony. I wish we'd signed Bonds in the offseason. I don't miss them either...but sometimes...I wish I had. To be fair to myself, my "love" of Brian Anderson is more of a joke thing around here. That said, I miss his flowing, golden locks out in the OF.
  9. Lol. I would have rather have gotten Cintron's AB out of the way there.
  10. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:30 PM) Do you hate him as much as you hate this team? The difference between my hatred of Bonds and my "hatred" of this team is that my hatred of Bonds is 24/7 and my hatred of this team is only when they disappoint me and don't even look like they are trying to improve.
  11. Have I ever expressed my hatred for Barry Steroids Bonds? Wow. This is just sick.
  12. NASTY curve. Gooch at least looked respectable trying that pitch.
  13. Gameday actually just skipped over AJ. Straight from PK to Gooch.
  14. Wow... I didn't realize how much AJ caught last year. Glad we made a move for a good backup this year. Too bad Ozzie decided he was first basemen.
  15. QUOTE(Linnwood @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) Lackey retired him alright.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:21 PM) Of course he is....I was probably the first one pointing this out last year, in regards to how awful his defense was/is. However, there was nothing he could do on that deep fly ball by Chone. If anything, he did a great job of fielding the tough hop off the wall and holding him to a double. I didn't say he should have caught it. I think Ichiro would be one of the only ones who could of. Its just that shot made me realize how slow he really is.
  17. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) To be fair, Dye is very very very slow. Atleast we got out with just the one. A positive, I guess.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) How does a 2-seamer break? Are you kidding me? The entire purpose of a 2-seamer is to drop.
  19. His two-seamer isn't breaking. Come on Jon, get it together, god damn!
  20. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) Seriously dude, STFU. you offer nothing to this board. Who has that quote of titomb in their sig about never bashing the team again? I believe that would be ... ah crap I can't remember.
