Plenty of tackles fall short of "wrapping up and bringing to the ground," and it was in effect a tackle. If you think that play should be legal, then I guess we just don't want to see the same game. That wasn't an edge case or a "process of the catch" -type situation where there's no real way to understand the NFL's intention.

The defender literally tackled the WR right in front of the ref. It was a failure of officiating, not a failure of rules not being clear enough.

Yeah bottom line Parkey hit the uprights yet again on a reasonable field goal. Nobody played perfectly last night but obviously the big dramatic double-doink is going to be the focus, and Parkey does deserve plenty of blame for continuing to suck all year long. He needs to be cut. Maybe he can resurrect his career somewhere else, but he's not going to get redemption in Chicago.
