Plenty of tackles fall short of "wrapping up and bringing to the ground," and it was in effect a tackle. If you think that play should be legal, then I guess we just don't want to see the same game. That wasn't an edge case or a "process of the catch" -type situation where there's no real way to understand the NFL's intention.

The defender literally tackled the WR right in front of the ref. It was a failure of officiating, not a failure of rules not being clear enough.

Yeah bottom line Parkey hit the uprights yet again on a reasonable field goal. Nobody played perfectly last night but obviously the big dramatic double-doink is going to be the focus, and Parkey does deserve plenty of blame for continuing to suck all year long.
