  1. And PK, repeat after me: "What will I do if the ball is hit to me? What will I do if the ball is hit to me? What will I do if the ball is hit to me?......"
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) He's getting the job done. He has gave up his fair share of hits, but by and large hes' been solid. And to be honest, the hits haven't been excessive or anything. His WHIP isn't bad. He's not pitching lock-down right now, but he's doing pretty good for a rookie and he's still the best option on the roster (IMO). Yeah, but we can't afford for him not to get the job done. The margin for error isn't there. I just hope he can make some adjustments, because he is really playing with fire right now.
  3. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) Finland team got the gold in curling! Well-played.
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Tweaked his ankle but it didn't look serious. More a bruised ego. Sweet, delayed olympic coverage starts and I've stayed away from any spoilers! Me too!
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:06 PM) I realize he gave up a run. But he is still holding opponents to a pretty low average, is getting games closed, and is averaging a strikeout per 9. He's been nothing but solid, especially when you consider the fact he's a rookie. And he's significantly better then Myers. The only hard hit ball was Span's single (which was crushed but he's killing everyone right now). Come on, Jas...he's been all sorts of things other than solid. He's been consistently mediocre, especially over the course of the past 6 weeks or so. He's allowed the leadoff man to reach in what seems like 5-6 consecutive outings.
  6. The Tigers have bases loaded, so I can imagine the umps will feel the pressure to wait it out as long as possible.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) Can't disagree with anything said here. Garlic fries are fantastic, all the seats are great and top notch beer on tap. Definitely would be nice if the roof were open when you attend. Try to roam around and check out the park. Lots of cool things to see and a wide variety of food all over the place. If you're going on a weeknight, traffic is atrocious in Seattle so maybe try leaving a bit early if possible. Weekends aren't as bad. Don't know much about you Illini so give me some ideas on what you like to do and I can come up with some suggestions. Tons of nearby hikes, great restaurants, water sports, etc. Heck, maybe I'll meet you up for a beer at the game. Which game are you targeting? Just watch out for Jamie Wright while you're there. He kills people!
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Lariano will get better. Cooper hasn't even advised him yet. Die Detriot. Let's pick up one here. Liriano. Sorry, pet peeve.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:59 PM) That's enough between the two of you. Enjoy the damn win. Says AJ!
  10. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 09:57 PM) You crazy. I was a homer longer than I was negative I think. Never whiny though. You were always the first to show up when the bad s*** started happening...
  11. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) What a play by Addison Reed! Good to see we still have so many whiny fans! You used to lead the way, pal
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) Please just hit a line drive at one of our fielders + 999999999999
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) Not many options there bud. Doesn't mean I can't be tired of him bud.
  14. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) This has walkoff written all over it. Enough Mr Doom & Gloom!
  15. I'm getting awfully tired of Addison Reed
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Thankfully they had the right guy covering! Nice scouting there. Especially considering where they were pitching him
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) So many darn pitches he throws at the belt. I was just happy he threw that first pitch somewhere else
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) Revere, Carroll, and Span. This is possibly the most irritating trio to face in baseball. Maybe they can bring back Christian Guzman and thevasshole that used to play second...Revis?
  19. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 08:40 PM) Is the Red Sox game an official game if it rains out? Yes
