  1. I love uneventful bottom of the 9ths....Jones and Soria seem to be competent...the rest of the pen is less than that.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:51 PM) He’s missing the cardinals fairy dust that turns below average players into slightly above average ones. Also NL Lol
  3. Wow, I thought Grichuk was better than that....dude is like 2-25 this year.
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:24 PM) Wayyy too early to worry much. Maybe moncada isn’t a phenom like Harper and Bryant who were studs at 22, but there’s a lot there to suggest he’s gonna be a really really good player at 25 I agree. WAY too early.....The issue I have is Moncada has had a bit of trouble avoiding high K rates and Kopech, while having an electric arm, has yet to prove he can command his stuff over the long haul. I like Basabe but he's further out. Considering what the Sox gave up at least two of these guys have to become frontline players.
  5. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:21 PM) He has some cutler-esque body language when things go wrong the Sale trade has me worried, but way too early on any of those 3 players to call it...don't need them this year anyway, we need them to be legit in 2 years.
  6. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:13 PM) At least we got good performances by Lopez and Fulmer. Encouraging I give ALL starters positive marks except for Gonzalez. Shields and Gio pitched in terrible conditions, but both did very well, even though those games were against AAA teams. Lopez and Fulmer were awesome in this series.
  7. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 09:08 PM) the defense and bullpen.. a work in progress
  8. May be time to pull the plug on engel ....
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 08:35 PM) Of all the innings I have ever watched, this is one of them.
  10. Blue Jays announcers said no error on Engel cause the ball was "hit hard"
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:59 PM) If he got that 2-1 call in the 1st, his outing goes from good to great so far Perhaps, but it's trending to great....lets see him go through these guys again, into the 5th then we be talking.
  12. Damn, that was impressive. Overmatched those 3 hitters.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:41 PM) So far Fulmer has no idea where his fastball is going "Better teach this guy some control or he's gonna kill someone" Seriously, he's not bad right now
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:36 PM) I love Yolmer. Me too. He should play pretty much full time only with an occasional day off against super tough lefties.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:31 PM) Incredibly impressive by Davidson. Surprised ump didn't call that foul LOL
  16. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2018 -> 07:26 PM) his body of work, his delivery, his stuff, all of it. he's not a starter. I just don't see it. At this point who cares? Let him pitch and see what he has. He ended last year pretty well. I'd rather have him pitch than Migual Gonzalez. Gotta see what we have with him...I tend to think he'll end up in the bullpen too, but at this point in the Sox plan a spot is his in the rotation as it should be.
  17. Not bad. High pitch count, but he showed some good stuff. Needs to hone in the control more.
  18. Bulls***....that 2-1 pitch to Grandy was a great pitch. Call the game ump
  19. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 09:58 PM) Clown fest Yup!!!
  20. Running can still be a useful skill in baseball.
