  1. Personally, i think these past few years have baseball execs doing some different things , Gone are the 200 inning pitchers and in are the 150 inning pitchers, depth bullpen and soon to be 6 starters. Now a team needs 7 -8 deep in starters throughout the year and if you dont have depth in the minors that means carrying journeymen guys as your 5,6,7 guys in long relief or short cheap contracts to get you through a season unless you have yankee, dodger or Met money.

I'll say this too, if it wasn't clear, I don't care what anyone posts. If someone wants to post that joe Crede wasn't the greatest 3rd baseman in MLB history, they can do that. They'll be wrong, and completely ignorant worthy of immense disdain and hatred, but they're free to express that blasphemes opinion

personally, I come from another Era, Brooks Robinson, George Brett, Sal Bando, Mike Schmidt, chipper Jones I can probably name 5 more. Maybe Crede was the best in a whitesox Uniform in decades, but no chance is he one of the best of all times. SORRY if this was a joke and I didnt catch on.

We should be more supportive of Burr and Ruiz.  If we believe in them, collectively, they will start to believe in themselves even more.

Sounds like a quote from a Brene Brown book. I think I will take a pass and move on from Burr.

Mendick and Sousa the most likely to go when the roster goes from 28 to 26.

Banks and Crick the most likely to go when Lynn and Kelly come off the IL.

Between Banks and Burr I would take

Banks . I have seen enough of Burr to know if he pitches I need to stop watching .

I am thinking Oakland thinks less of White Sox prospects than even the people who rank them near the bottom. Bassitt or this one withe the prospect capital going back is a no brainer.

So it's either that or the Sox are tapped out budget wise.

This is a good observation. It seems the Sox could have gotten something done easily in this so maybe it is about the money. I am deeply concerned about the rotation.

Not if they include Montgomery and/or Kath in a trade.

Well let’s think about this . First it’s basically Oakland , cinci and Pitt who are sellers right this moment . Mainly Oakland, next the Sox are in a pickle in a couple of years with Moncada so they really want those draft picks to work out because they won’t want to pay Moncada 30 million. So it’s up to them how they measure this. Eitherway this first half of the year is challenging if Lynn is out which he will be for sometime.

He wasn't barely walking of the field. He had a slight limp with no assistance.

There isn't enough information to make a good guess either way. Could be anything. Just pointing out that there is no reason to assume surgery. That fact it's the same knee that didn't need surgery for the issue is a good sign.

I appreciate your view I truly do. Sox do things strangely sometimes. We will see tomorrow .

    Rehab, strengthening, sometimes bracing.

I suppose they could have done that all off season if this is the same discomfort. I am sure they will do an mri tommorrow and get to the bottom of it . Eitherway he is injured and not going to be our number 2 all year and the Sox will either pay hard for another starter or get another reliever to try and shorten the game .

Just because there is discomfort doesn't mean there is a structural issue. Could be capsular or patella joint dysfunction.

Ok I hope your right. Barely walking off a field and having the same knee issue last year doesn’t sound like some kind of mild issue . I understand your in the field and appreciate that and I hope your right. That said time will be lost and the Sox need to figure something out .

They couldn’t during the lockout…not legally.  Do you honestly think Lynn was going to be in the best shape of his life with a guaranteed deal?

No I. Don’t and I also think Lynn would gut it out . That said, if he had the same damn thing last year the Sox would know what the hell it is and they obviously think rest would help it but maybe they are just damn wrong . Same knee same issue only in spring training after many months off.
