  1. Carl's Jr. is the greatest out west, with In N Out a close second. Funny though, Hardees is Carl's Jr. in the midwest, but the burgers are NOT the same.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) I equate what they gave up for Dunn about what we gave up for Griffey IMO. Borderline guys, the main one being a TJ surgery guy. That's what I really meant...but obviously more talent then we gave for Griffey because of Dunn's age, etc. Gamboa and Ash, the sportwriters on the radio out here are praising the deal like we were the Griffey deal when that happened. Without knowing alot about their prospects, it just seems like what I am hearing is that it was a sweet deal for the D'Backs. Now they are talking about moving Mark Reynolds to 2B. LMAO!
  3. Didn't know that. Shows how much anyone in Phoenix cares about the D'Backs. I bet D'Backs fans didn't even know that. lol
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) how can you say they got him for hardly nothing? Because I live in Phoenix and they got a few impact players left in the minors, and Dallas Buck was the best left of them. The stations out here are stating the other 2 will be 1 from low A and 1 from AA, but nothing that was in the D'Backs future plans. That would be funny if it was the low A kid we gave up for Quentin.
  5. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 10:53 AM) So unbelievable that we're seeing this thread for a guy who originally was slated to not make the team. In a sense was behind Owens, Anderson and Alexei for outfield time. I can't tell you how many D'Backs fans were pizzed when that trade was made with what they ended up agreeing on with Byrnes, and the rest of the D'Backs fans are pizzed now whenever Quentin is mentioned on the radio, tv, etc. They loved him here in Phoenix and preferred Byrnes be traded.
  6. D'Backs just got Adam Dunn for hardly nothing. I don't see why it would take a lot to get Washburn or Byrd.
  7. He was 6-9 in 19 starts for us in 2004. I think he started out winning first 3 gaes, then just ran out of gas.
  8. He was actually the closer for the Tigers at one point.
  9. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Pirates have traded minor league pitcher Franklyn German to the White Sox for a player to be named. Skinny: German posted a 2.08 ERA in 21 2/3 innings for the Rangers, but he was outrighted and opted for free agency. The righty signed with the Pirates, where he had a 3.58 ERA in 27 2/3 innings at Triple-A. The White Sox are scrambling for pitching depth, and German could join their bullpen soon. He'll have to work on his 37/30 K/BB ratio so far this year. Looks like Carrasco will still start with German taking his spot. I don't mind it, as I feel Washburn would cost too much if the Yanks couldn't deal for him.
  10. Can someone create me a sig? I was wanting one with Floyd and Danks back to back, with the caption stating, "Sometimes when you are watching the right, the left will get ya..."
  11. Who are the only regulars who have not had walk-offs this year? Sorry if this was posted already. Surprising: Dye, Alexei Not Surprising: Thome
  12. This game's a write-off. If we haven't gotten to Robertson by the 5th inning, we aren't. Time to catch up on some sleep.
  13. GREAT F'ING COACHING OZZIE! I can see why Griff and OC had to leave, but why Quentin??
  14. Fields walked? Holy Cow! F'ing Fox still won't show the damn game!!!
  15. CMON FOX, PUT THE DAMN GAME ON! WHO CARES ABOUT THE YANKEES WIN!
  16. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 03:32 PM) CQ will save us. I promise. Carlos is out of the game.
