QUOTE(pale_hose @ May 29, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After going 3 for 4 with 4 rbi's, morneau pretty much single handedly beat us...again...it seems like all the guy does against us is hit, hit, and hit...he's truely a sox killer...so can we please stop pitching to him?! It seems like every time he's at the plate against us, he just absolutely destroys the ball...he wasnt mvp for nothing! yea, seriously, lets just walk him tomorrow everytime so hes 0-0 with 4 intentional walks, and im not being sarcastic. and not only is he a sox killer, but hes an AL killer. he murdered every pitcher last year, and finally going on to winning the MVP

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 29, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not one A-Rod mention so far? when he does it when it matters, then he'll be on my 5

QUOTE(SnB @ May 29, 2007 -> 10:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i turned it off in the 6th.......and this was the first sox game I've gotten to see in over a week...........I planned my night around it. oops. nice. does anybody else have HD? i have it, and WCIU sucks, and watching a game at the hump dome on WCIU makes it that much worse
-

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Down by 7 runs. Uribe swings at the first 3 pitches offered up there. I think that the Tazmanian Devil cartoon is smarter.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's amazing how many exciting, young players there are in the game right now. Guys like Sizemore, Reyes, and Granderson are really fun to watch as leadoff hitters. and the sox have erstad

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> uribe, gonzalez, Cintron. who gets drilled? or do they wait for AJ tomorrow? hopefully cintron right in the elbow and breaks it and is out for the year so i never have to see his retarded @$$ on a major league diamond until 2008

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who are we going to try next to replace Dewon Day? CHAD CORDERO
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dewon Day had more range on the right side of the field when he was playing Little League. I want him to do well....but good grief, a pitcher with a 1.50 WHIP in AA should never see a major league field. I know I'm extremely pessimistic, but this talent level we're putting on the field is embarrassing as hell. yep. i can not believe i wasted $300 to see the sox in pittsburgh and KC this year.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does that slider even move? yea, moves right into hitters

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The average of slugging and on-base percentage? No. The sum, you mean? Sum is not average. Get a clue. and u are right. i understood the meaning of OPS wrong

QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Boone is one of our best bullpen guys right now. you are right, and its sad when boone logan is one of the best bullpen guys in a bullpen QUOTE(BearSox @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who cares who the better hitter is? Does it matter? All that matters is that we SUCK! and you are right too
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for making my night. Haha! it is the average of on base and slugging percentage. on base percentage isnt all about hitting, having a good eye and walking effects on base percentage
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thome - .288/.416/.598 Morneau - .321/.375/.559 Thome - OPS+ 156 Morneau - OPS+ 140 Yeah, you're wrong. OPS has nothing to do with hitting. OPS is the average of slugging and on base percentage. walking to get on base has nothing to do with hitting
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Prove me wrong. thome- .288 average, 141 hits, 42 homers, 109 rbis morneau- .321 average, 190 hits, 35 homers, 130 rbis have i proved enough?
-
hawk is just had a heart attack "AND THERES BALL 4!" relax hawk, we're still down by 7 f***in runs
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, Thome was a much better hitter than Morneau last year. i pray to god your being sarcastic
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Outside of that Colby Lewis game, Thome's been pretty crappy since he returned. u got that right. if the twins D were playin him normal, he wouldnt of had that single in the 1st

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree on giving Owens a chance too. Hey, who knows? KW does, and he will say no. b/c hes stubborn, and wants to lose as a boring ballclub, not a speedy fun team to watch
-

-

-

-
morneau is awesome. u could throw him screw balls and he'll hit them all over that $*** dome if i got to pick any 5 players to start a team, morneau would be on that list. hes that damn good
