  1. man you are pretty lucky to be going to fenway PAWK. i wanted to go there this year, whether if it was vs the sox or the royals, i didnt care. everyone says their tickets are gone in a snap, yet for the last week of the season, there are pretty good seats still available. u should have fun seeing the sox there. im seeing them in pittsburgh for all 3 and in kansas city june 29-july 1 all 3. are u driving? where are your seats at?
  2. sox need to get on a streak here, and with a good start by danks today, and with those bats heating up (dye, konerko, terrero), this could be a good spot to start a hot streak
  3. 1. we just arent good right now 2. we arent, b/c like somebody said, we're 19-14 their since 2004 3. its a dome. the twins find ways to get those little $*** rolling ground balls up the middle through the infield, and they do. if it was grass, they are easy grounders. they had about 4 of those hits yesterday
  4. i was watchin the clinching game of the 2005 white sox vs red sox ALDS today, and they said when konerko lived in rhode island, his last 4 numbers of his phone number were 1 9 1 7. pretty strange i must say...
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 28, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fell to 1-4 with an ERA still in that 4 and a half to 5 range. Looks like we got exactly what we paid for in this trade, although he did have more value than that and will probably get a Marquis esque payday this offseason at minimum even if he bombs out. yea i saw today hes now 1-4 with that loss. hopefully gavin floyd turns out to be good, or else this trade will suck for both teams god bless sweaty freddy. he came to chicago and played a major role in winning the title, and thats what we got him for
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 28, 2007 -> 10:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed on all counts, although in regards to the velocity, maybe it's just me but it seems like velocity is down leaguewide this year in the AL and NL, no matter who is pitching. Maybe it's the radar guns and/or lack of amphetamines? off the roids
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2007 -> 04:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who cares? i care
  8. sisco is a first ballot HOFer
  9. QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 27, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thome will get it... but which hat will he wear? Maybe Mark. yea im sure it will be a indian hat, unfortunately does anybody know how many wins buehrle is on pace for?
  10. how many guys who currently play for us will be hall of famers when its all said and done. thome eventually will get to 500 homers, but does that automatically put him in the hall? what about paulie? he probably only has 4 or 5 good seasons left in him, and he only has 251 career homers and 1300 hits, yet he has the ring. so in the end, how many current sox will be in the HOF in 30 years?
  11. QUOTE(Brian @ May 27, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not that I disagree, but isn't that what people said when we traded for Geoff Blum? u do have a point. blum is a career 250 hitter, while wilson is a 262, so i guess this could turn out to be an OK signing afterall
  12. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 27, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and he hasn't posted an OPS as high as that since 2004. He tends to hit LHP a lot better than RHP, but I don't know how else he currently fits in with this team. I still would've liked to kept Perez from the start, but perhaps could give us similar results. Career against Santana: 1-3. 1 RBI's 2 k's. I'd play him over Konerko tomorrow. does anybody know where i can find the current white sox teams' hitting stats against santana? if so, i would appreciate it. thanks
  13. i have had a myspace for 3 years, but i cant really find a real nice sox layout. does anybody know of any sites? thank you
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He also has an .827 career OPS which is the 3rd highest of any player currently on the Sox' 25 man roster. good for him. lets see what he can do when he actually gets into a game for us
  15. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ May 27, 2007 -> 08:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know who Craig Wilson is. I was just making a joke about the thread title before it was edited. i know that, thats why i then went on to say hes a 262 lifetime hitter, to back up ur point
  16. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ May 27, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who's Wislon? lifetime 262 hitter, and played in pittsburgh from 2001 to a little bit of 2006, then was traded to the yankees, then to the braves, where he was hitting 172 with atlanta
  17. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ May 27, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sox made this move to clear rooom on the 25 man roster for Ichiro. Dye is moving to LF. its funny u say that about ichiro, b/c i was reading this article today http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/05/olney_on_the_ce.html if you dont want to read it, summed up, it pretty much says buster olney thinks ichiro will be a white sock next year
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's from the south suburbs. Righty reliever who throws from the side. If used properly, could be solid. I have no idea how hard he throws now though. bret prinz, 6'3", 210 pounds, righty, 0.68 era thus far in charlotte, batters are hitting .170 against him, 29 years old, in a goliath.com article in 2002 it said he had control problems, in an SI article in 2004 it said he throws in the mid 90's, and is from chicago heights IL
  19. good news: kobe bryant said he wants to be traded, and they asked ric bucher where is the likely destination, and he said chicago bad news: there is no white sox good news
  20. and tomorrow is a day game and we face johan, so its another L in the books good lord, 10 runs off our pitching
  21. yes, and 1 against anaheim and 1 against minnesota, is that it? 4?
  22. can somebody find out what our record is on day games b/c it seems like we havent won one all year god do macdougal and sisco suck, or what? holy god...
