QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) Young's dangerous, but Mauer isn't? Mauer won't score runs by himself, he'll drizzle you with singles and doubles (and rarely, triples), but it's Morneau and Young IMO that are their most dangerous hitters

this twins lineup isn't going to destroy you offensively gavin, just throw strikes and let your D work behind you, only hitters you need to be careful of really are Morneau and Young (I'm not listing Mauer here, I don't think he's that dangerous)

possibly the worst person in the twins lineup you wanna walk to lead off an inning, come on GAVIN.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 04:39 PM) Why would it be? It's your contract, and your career. i could think of quite a few reasons why one might frown upon it, one being that the GM is, in his mind, trying to improve his ball club by trading you, and you're denying the trade is keeping him from doing that.

when your 10/5 kicks in as a player, does it look badly upon your character if you deny a trade? is that generally frowned upon?

i have a feeling our batting averages will start to rise once we start facing pitchers that we're familiar with. if you look at all of the games we've played so far this year, we've faced a plethora of rookies or guys that we've only seen maybe once before. we haven't really done that terrible, either.- 8/25 Gm. 1 - SOX vs./@ BAL, 5:05 CT, CSN
