    Just finished watching Idiocracy. The movie was decent but I must admit I've never seen the role of President of the U.S. played like this before. Quite hilarious.

     

     

    I watched it, the start when all the stupid people are mating like rabbits and went.. Yep, that is pretty much how it is.

    Yuck, I'd rather sign back Jermaine for 2 yrs than be stuck with Abreu for 3 or 4. You're right about Abreu, ee doesn't steal bases, doesn't hit for power anymore and is a below avg RF. At least Jermaine can still hit 30 HRs, play avg defense in RF and is 2 yrs younger.

     

    We all know KW will go after the passion and the fire (Rowand) but I wonder about SS, LF and the bullpen.

    Which area is KW's biggest concern?

    MI- Who plays SS and 2b

    OF- We need 3 positions..

    RP- Other than Jenks..and...

     

    There are way to many holes to fill this year. I listed them in the order I felt we needed. I am not sold on Richar and Uribe as our DP combo. But, seeing as how we need to rebuild I feel this is the best chance we have.

    And is a notoriously good leader and high energy player. This guy would thrive on a team with the talent we have around him. Could you imagine him in this lineup?

    I actually respect the fact that Hawk hardly glorifies himself when it comes to facing pitchers. He will talk about how he had a good year and this and that, but i rarely hear him say anything to put down pitchers he faced.

     

    Niether him nor DJ were "great" hitters.. I just find it funny during a game, he will annouce some ramdom pitcher I have never heard off.. owning him.. and looking at the pitchers numbers.. icky

    I have studied

     

    JKD for a couple of years

    Brazilian juijitsu for a couple of years

    MMA for a couple of years..

     

    What people above failed to ask.. What are you doing this for?

     

    IMO, either start with KungFu or JKD, both give you a basis foundation for other forms. I did it backwards, I took Brazilian jujitsu, then stand up.

     

    But, in the end you need to tell me/us what your goals are for this..Brazilian is amazing for cardio, I was in the best shape (cardio wise) in my life when I trained. 6 hours a week of sparing will kick your ass into shape fast.

    Funny how Floyd needs the opportunity but Haeger, who has AAA Charlotte 2006 numbers about the same as Floyd's 2007 AAA numbers and who has better major league numbers than Floyd, "is what he is." That's more than a little hypocritical. Floyd blew with Philadelphia, went back to AAA and struggled worse than Haeger struggled in AAA this season. Using your logic, Floyd should have been selling cars by now. (Although I do agree he should be selling cars).

     

    Neither should be an option. Floyd should have never been brought here, we needed a OF and KW gets a AAAA and AA pitcher. Haeger.. IckyICky poo poo.. I don't want a knuckleball pitcher on in Coors Lite Park..that just spells trouble.

    well, you'll be happy to know they only have one more trip out east and they play the phillies too, but even then they'll be flying from Houston (3 or so hour flight)

     

    but you are correct.

     

    Actually, I was wrong..

     

    5:15 from NYC to SD

    5:40 other way around..

     

    I talk to a friend who is a pilot about it..

    No s***...playing baseball for a living...and in San Diego of all places...I'd give my left one for that.

     

    Petco is amazing park.. The fans are a little blah though..

     

    Padres are my Fav NL team.. and they needed a stick off the bench that can play more than one place on the field.

     

    The 6 hour flight.. that is what would tick me off If I was Mac!

    I subscribe to those white sox text messages and it sent me one that said that grindERSTAD got activated today. What does everyone think the timetable for his return to the DL is? I'll give him 3 weeks.

     

    If weeks you meant Steps.. then I agree with you.
