1) No one is going to take on 20mil in payroll for a pitcher who has an ERA in the high 6's and last good outing was in June. If the old fart can turn something out this season and pitches decent to where he looks like a MLB Pitcher then you have a shot. As of right now no one is going to trade for him unless Jerry goes against the norm and does something he never does.. Pay for Jose to leave 2) Look I was very happy when we signed Dye to replace Maggs in 05, but his time has past. He is not going to help this team by playing the OF any time soon, he needs to become a full--time DH with limited duty in the OF. Since we have a full-time DH, I just don't see a place for him. 3) Being a Friar Fan.. I will pass on Liney, Petco made him, The Cell will destroy him. There was a reason why Towers was so eager (other than rapping Mil) to let him go. The Bullpen needs to be fixed and we let the guy go last year who was perfect for it. ie Riske 4) I love Rowand as much as the next guy.. But adding more payroll just makes no sense. Rowand in his time in two hitters parks has managed just 2 seasons of hitting .300 or better. And we are going to pay him 7-10mil.. ouch. I would want a younger CF in here that can do the same thing but for cheaper and longer. 5) agreed. 6) See your suggestions for 5.. Add Crede to that list. neither LA team is going to trade and give up a top spect for a mid-season rental.. with a bad back. We had our shot to unload him we missed. 7) Your suggestions are Xbox.. and have been pointed out the flaws in them.

MI- Who plays SS and 2b OF- We need 3 positions.. RP- Other than Jenks..and... There are way to many holes to fill this year. I listed them in the order I felt we needed. I am not sold on Richar and Uribe as our DP combo. But, seeing as how we need to rebuild I feel this is the best chance we have.

So... Dye got traded then!!!

I would think with our training staff we could keep him on the field for longer periods of time. The injuries this year were due to age mainly. Also due to listening to someone agent instead of a Doctor. Bradley would come fairly cheap 7-9mil a year.. brings Speed, a little pop and great avg to a team that needs 2/3. He also can play good to decent Def.

Because hitting in back of such greats as Corey Patterson and Kevin Millar, sure hurt his chances to do damage? Alright, In a fantasy world Miggy would be great here. But reality is, Baltimore would ask to much, We don't have the money, and we have to many holes to fill in order to have him be worthy here.. Agree?

Uribe, Richar, Owens, Whoever they trounce out to LF.. Other than that you are right our offense is fine. I am not the one bringing up Mr. I want a contract Dye. I made the comment that he (Miggy) would have a hard time producing MVP numbers hitting behind PK and Thome. Lucky for someone Dye was able to do it..So As soon as Miggy gets thrown into the lineup, he is going to revert back to 2002/3 time when he won the MVP.. just because Dye was able to.

Sure.. As well as A-rod signing here for MLC.. It can be done as well. The point is there is a very slim chance of him coming here and succeeding with Paule and Thome hitting in front of him.. Doesn't matter.. Who exactly is going to play the other 4 positions for a MLC? This team needs to trim payroll not increase it.

Do you really think he would put up MVP numbers hitting behind Paule and Thome. He would no longer be the focal point of an offense as he has been in OAK and BAL. Also who exactly is he driving in? With so many holes on this team position wise.. and spending another 13mil on one player.. Great if this is your XboX.. but reality is that we can't fix the holes and get him.. People are not flocking to the park like last yaer, so payroll has to be trimmed.

So all that is needed at the SS position is Power.. that is the be all end all factor?

Am I the only one who thinks Milton Bradley would look nice in LF and come cheap?
