  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 04:30 PM) I hope Ozzie starts DHing AJ or Flowers against LHP to get our best lineup on the field a few games this year.
  2. The #WhiteSox-Cleveland game on 4/10 has been rescheduled for 5/7 as part of a day-night doubleheader. First game starts at 12:05PM CDT, second game at 6:05PM CDT.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 12:05 PM) Dunn could have used a day off vs. a lefty, but I guess the season is only 7 games old QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 12:07 PM) Hopefully good enough. Would have liked to see tlb in there. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 12:08 PM) I wish Escobar would get a start at 2B. Sunday lineup to be featured.. tomorrow possibly?
  4. De Aza, Morel, Dunn, Konerko, Rios, Ramirez, Viciedo, Flowers, Beckham. Floyd
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 04:58 AM) Yep, only six teams in the majors have a better record. And we're 2-2 against arguably the two best teams in the American League...all while setting a pace for the most strikeouts in American League history. "We're not here to dictate what his managerial style should be," Williams said. "So far, what I've seen is an aggressive, intelligent approach to making his decisions. That's all you can ask. "He's got such a strong presence but a humbleness about him. (Combine) that with the confidence you just don't find very often ... and when you are like that and not pushing people away with their opinions, you are going to get the (best) of their knowledge." Ventura joined Guillen, Jerry Manuel, Terry Bevington and Gene Lamont in winning his first home game as Sox manager. And how did he plan to celebrate? With a quiet meal with family. chicagotribune.com/sports As far as strikeouts (not sure if yesterdays game was counted) We were tied for 3rd (Red Sox, Blue Jays) with 57, and ahead of us Mariners 59Ks and A's 64Ks
  6. For the Division lead fellas! Let's hit the rookie back to the minor leagues.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 12:29 AM) That's the most logical place to play him, because you have Fukudome to replace or platoon with a (predicatably) struggling Rios. Lillibridge can take Beckham's place. The one area you can't fix easily is Morel failing too, because Escobar, while he hit well in ST, is going to be a 550-650 OPS bat in the majors, unless he's miraculously improved....but no scout in baseball projected him as an everyday starter at SS due to his weak bat. That means you're left with the likes of Dan Johnson or Conor Jackson if Adam Dunn completely falls apart again. Let's hope it doesn't reach that point. The best replacement for Morel is probably Dallas McPherson, but "best" there is nothing to brag about. Not only that, but then we have to put AJ (our second best power hitter) or Ramirez in the 2 hole to replace Brent, unless you have Lillibridge or Fukudome there. Morel got a big RBI today, slow starter, for some reason I'm not really worried about him. Beckham scares me. He looks lost, I mean the Greenberg put it this way: "He needs a treasure map to find first base"
  8. Neat. Still doesn't work when using the Sox Schedule for future games but hopefully will get there soon.
  9. Good column on ESPN saying how the opener win vs division rivals help to cover awful games by Beckham and Dunn. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but Dunn looks worse game after game.. just like last year really.

  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) The Phillies are basically using Juan Pierre as the leadoff hitter. Major facepalm... They're lineup is awful, they won't even make the playoffs.
  17. De Aza - CF Morel - 3B Dunn - DH Konerko - 1B AJ - C Ramirez - SS Fukudome - RF Dayan Viciedo - LF Beckham - 2B Danks - P
