  1. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 04:53 AM) Nice win, if this team is gonna compete these are the ones we gotta win, just can't shoot ourselfs in the foot, Dunn seems fine remember he's not gonna hit over .265 so don't count on that, he seems to be taking good at bats and that's what counts. Santiago is tha man, he's sneaky with the fastball and throws harder than you think, he's aggressive and has good moxy and makeup he's not afraid Precisely, good Dunn or 'old' Dunn is still .250 hitter. As long as he gets on base and hits a homer once every few days we're in good shape.
  2. knight, nicely done on the game previews.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) Who can blame them? After all, with Guillen gone, everyone is happy. Williams finally gets to be the face of the franchise, a position he long has coveted but couldn’t have under the huge shadow left by Guillen. Sure, Williams pretends he wants to be “under the radar,’’ but he’s on television more than Snooki. The latest is the new North Side-South Side Nike ad. A bunch of players from the Sox and Cubs are shown training, and there’s Williams, lifting weights and sweating. What the hell does a GM need to train for? You know why Theo Epstein or Jed Hoyer weren’t in it? BECAUSE THEY’RE EXECUTIVES! They’re building teams, not muscle and ego. With that I do agree tho, WTF is doing on the Sox commercial? LOL this is stupid. He's getting in shape so he can make better moves during the trade deadline? LINK.
  4. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 09:40 PM) Great pitching so far this season, but man the offense is just ABYSMAL... Beckham still looking completely lost, Morel taking a huge dump after a strong September and pretty strong spring. Gotta wonder if he's still having back issues... looks all mental to me.
  5. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 09:16 PM) Santos has now blown two saves in Toronto, Santiago has converted two on the South Side. Was just coming here to post this.. Santos 0.2 2 3 3 3 1 0 15.43
  6. Right now it looks like we're gonna have one rainy HOME opening week.
  7. Hopefully Sox will be 3-3 after this on or better yet 4-2.
  8. It comes down to this: we all say we dont have any expectations for this team, yet deep inside everyone's hoping for 2005 redux.
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 12:55 AM) Will the home opener completely sell out before day of game? I think so, there was about 2000 tickets on StubHub a week a go, right now thats 1200 tickets left.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 07:32 AM) The 400 level is a solid view, not sure how cheap they will be. If you go for 200 level tickets, I wouldn't go further than like 10-12 rows back, cause then you get stuck under the overhang and possibly behind a large support beam. Thanks !
  11. FWIW Ventura said we might see Lillibridge on Sunday. Yes, Morel and a god awful game but put me in the camp that wants to give him a chance, let's not write him off after 1 game. He needs to relax.
