Something I don't understand: Chicago fans, specifically Bears fans, have this weird insecurity with national media and believe that the team doesn't get the appropriate amount of attention/recognition or that they actually get mad that the Bears are winning games. Lazy narratives notwithstanding, this makes no sense. The Bears play in a media gold mine. Why would they be mad about that?

Because Chicagoand have a complex about being the whole Second City idea behind NY & LA.

you know what? Props to Levine for that. I appreciate that effort. Very college head coach search-y, but I'll take it. Also maybe they could have given him a camera with a lens instead of his nokia phone.

I'm disappointed in the lack of flight tracking by Soxtalk, we need to know every potential plane Manny & Bryce can be on!

So fun news is we are expecting our next child on Wed.

Other fun news is we were able to renovate our house but we didn't finish in time for the baby. So challenges aside of living with my wife's parents, I also cut out interior painting because the bid seemed so high. Now I realize it's because with new rooms you have so much more prep with filling nail holes, sanding, etc. Taking forever but it will be worth is soon as we plan to live there a long time and I'm not sure that would be possible for quite a while with two kids.

    Congrats and good luck.

We had to live with my parents when our second kid was born due to remodeling our house, it was not an ideal situation.  Although at least your pregnant wife is with her own parents, not her in-laws.

Differences in last week's game from the Week 1 collapse:

-Trubisky knows the offense MUCH better than he did to start the season, and Nagy knows his personnel better

-Trubisky was also able to study Pettine's blitzes and didn't look lost when Pettine threw everything he had at him

-Mack is better integrated into the defense and Floyd is having an impact in the pass rush now where he wasn't before

-Roquan is a far better player than Kwiatkoski so there was no exploiting the middle because Roquan was everywhere

And there was a different player dressed in the GB #12 jersey.  He was off but looked really disinterested too.

I will also say well done to Mitch. I thought he played a real clean game. Too bad we got too cute on a couple 3rd or 4th and shorts or they could have had a few more scores maybe. We should have kept feeding Howard. They kind of messed with the role he had going...but nice defensive performance and a solid offensive performance.

Mitchell was outstanding today. While Nagy had a couple bonehead decisions we all know about, I thought his offensive game plan overall was great,, put Mitchell in a position to succeed, kept it simple.

I had the exact same setup as you. Glad those last 6 minutes of the game turned Rivers/Jackson nights into pretty solid. I felt awful seeing Williams get so much usage and racking up pts on my bench but there was no way I was trusting him right off the bat but he does look solid, wouldn't doubt him and Ware start splitting the backfield 50/50 moving forward which sucks for his FF owners.

I couldn't trust Williams either, I was thinking about starting him over Brieda/Wilson, Samuels, or AP, but I kept him on the bench unfortunately.  I felt like the Chiefs can be weird about their rotations sometimes, oh well.

I feel like I'm about to get hit with a FF bad beat.  My team is on a 7 game winning streak ending in 1st place, scored my highest total yet on the bye last week, it's the perfect setup to get upset in the semis this weekend.  Kelce only getting 6.1 isnt the best start.

This. I took a ton of heat saying I'd consider Addison Russell. I have a feeling more than a few people who were anti Addison are okay with this move.... which makes zero sense if you're playing the moral game. Either way, my stance is still the same. Do your homework. Build a team with character. I wouldn't exclude anybody because of their past if you truly believe they are trying to make a change and have made a change.

It is interesting how there were zero "no wife-beaters on my team" comments in this thread as opposed to the Russell one.
