I HATE this line of thinking. Just because they’re being considered doesn’t mean progress. It means agents saw they had a lot of money and could get a better deal for their client with the White Sox involved. There won’t be progress until they actually convert and get someone of significance. Only then will general opinions change.

Chili got intel saying that SoxFest is going to be worth going to this year in particular. That’s all we’re basing it off of.

They are also televising the Rick and Ricky seminar tomorrow which is the first time they've done that. That one is normally closed to hotel package guests only.

FWIW Roeper also mentioned a few weeks ago that SoxFest was going to be crazy. If the Sox have actually already signed Manny and/or Harper and have kept it quiet for this long it will be something.

Only thing interesting is the first seminar with Hahn and Renteria that is normally for attendees only is going to be televised. That being said if they wanted to announce something there it would be a small reception because normally people run out to get autographs instead of attending that one.

Before these sessions they're just going to have to come out and say they're not taking any questions on Machado or Harper.

IIRC the schedule is generally released a week in advance so whats happening is very strange. Edit: It was released on the Tuesday before last year so nevermind.
