  1. Rabbit says nothing is imminent but the Sox are waiting on Gordon. Brian Bilek ‏@ChiSoxraBBit I can't anything is imminent, but things are going to plan. #WhiteSox waiting on Gordon... https://twitter.com/ChiSoxraBBit/status/681868130252111872
  2. FWIW this guy said Gordon rejected the Sox offer. https://twitter.com/DowellTeam/status/681147962282512384
  3. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 24, 2015 -> 11:47 AM) Does he have connections within the White Sox organization or is he just speculating like the rest of us? He has connections. He's a mod here and was saying they were in in Frazier before beat writers were talking about it.
  4. FWIW raBBit is saying Gordon is the Sox top target and they are in the process of extending an offer. Sox are surprised that they're that they're this far along with him but aren't sure that he's in yet. https://twitter.com/ChiSoxraBBit/status/680058757322244097 https://twitter.com/ChiSoxraBBit/status/680058757322244097 https://twitter.com/ChiSoxraBBit/status/680064910890373120
  5. I'd like Upton over any of them due to the power, OBP and age but Gordon is a close second and is more likely IMO to be rock solid in OBP and defense over the course of a contract.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 09:53 AM) Maybe it's me, but it sure sounds like they will get a new RF He was giving Avi the old Viciedo trade talk up.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) Keith Law was on 1000 at same time and loved the Frazier acquisition Yeah, I read the insider article on the trade and he said Frazier is an obvious massive upgrade.
  8. Yeah, I don't think Hahn or anyone on the Sox is going to be on the Score for awhile after this.
  9. On now. FWIW, Holmes said last night the Sox declined to be on the Score to discuss the trade yesterday. They were on ESPN 1000 yesterday however.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) Lawrie's value also just significantly increased Absolutely, his bat is a plus at 2B.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) Agreed. I think if we intend to compete, I'm fine selling high on Trayce and well I liked Micah a lot but if his D can't stick fine (leverage an asset we weren't going to get value out of). But only if we intend to truly contend. That means we need another outfield bat. I think getting Frazier certainly says to those guys that the Sox are going to go for it this year. This deal makes it more attractive to come here.
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:19 AM) Well our outfield defense just got worse again. Them willing to trade Trayce says to me that they're going to be competitive for Upton or Cespedes.
  13. Jesus christ, if they actually pony up for Upton or Cespedes, we are a major contender.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:14 AM) Wow...so Frazier to Sox, Ethier to Sox and Dodgers are sending prospects as a payroll dump of Ethier (plus we are giving up May and Montas)? That can't be or is that really it (and Sox are taking on Ethier to keep Anderson and Fullmer)? No one has said anything about Ethier yet besides the guy from BP.
  15. I almost puked when that guy said Ethier. Frazier and Lawrie moves to second. HUGE UPGRADES at both positions!
  16. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:09 AM) Ben Carsley ‏@BenCarsley 1m1 minute ago Mau and Montas for Craig and Ethier. Big win for the Dodgers. Jacob May? Expletives.
  17. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:08 AM) Watch it be Ethier or Crawford lmao It'd be so White Sox to get Ethier.
  18. NOT Puig. Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan Source: Yasiel Puig is NOT going to Chicago in the trade between the Dodgers and White Sox.
