  1. I think it would be nice if him and AJ shared the plate. Although there's virtually no chance we bring him in, I think he'd be a good fit to back up AJ.
  2. We're at 62-3, I think if Broadway saw this poll, he'd be completely demoralized....
  3. After watching Jose Contreras throw off a mound Wednesday, pitching coach Don Cooper called his comeback from a torn Achilles' tendon "almost too good to be true." Contreras was initially expected back around midseason, but is now hoping to be in the Opening Day rotation. "Should a human being even be able to do this?'' Cooper said. ''I knew he would be ahead of schedule, but I didn't think he would be this far ahead. Remarkable is what it is.''
  4. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 12:23 AM) Lets see. One is a right handed control pitcher with no control who has a propensity to give up the long ball. And the other guy is a lefty. I go with Richard. And you implying Richard's not a control pitcher?
  5. per rotoworld- Citing "two sources," ESPN's Michael Smith reports that the Cowboys have released Terrell Owens. If so, they're moving on early. Owens' $3.1 million roster bonus wasn't due until June. The move causes a $680,000K cap hit, but saves Jerry Jones $5.77M in cash. The Cowboys ultimately decided that T.O. was too much of a distraction despite arguably being their best offensive player. He has a lot left -- T.O. averaged 18.9 yards a catch and scored five TDs in the Cowboys' last eight games -- and may draw interest from the Raiders, Redskins, Jets, and Broncos. Receiver-needy teams almost certain to take a pass include Chicago, Philadelphia, and Miami.
  6. Hawk is banned from the great state of Nevada.
  7. They brought back Loaiza last year, so why not invite El Duque to spring training?
  8. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 08:12 PM) I remember how pissed I was about BMac getting traded and I am so happy I was dead wrong. That was amazing. As far as this offseason, I think theyre projecting poor attendance or something. The thing I don't get is that they really havn't spent a single dollar this off-season, excluding the Dayan signing. Could it really be poor attendance projections?
  9. I was thinking about why the White Sox lack of deals this offseason on the trade front, do any of you think it's because other GMs are afraid? After Gavin Floyd, Danks and TCQ, havn't teams learned their lesson? P.S-Great to be on board soxtalk.
