Especially when it comes to Harper, everything on him right now I would guess is posturing to up offers, I don’t doubt they’ve had contact with Washington but I highly doubt the rumors of him going back there is anything other than plants put out by Boras

I think they are in on him but there isn’t going to be anything of relevance on Harper until after Machado signs

I agree, there are other needs to be met for this team outside of manny or Harper but the Sox seem to be just sitting on their hands until at least manny figures out where he’s going

I guess good thing for the Sox is they don’t sign too many of them things called contracts....? this offseason is starting to become brutal....seems like forever since the Sox have made a move

The whitesox do not have that kind of leverage whatsoever, it’d be one thing if they were actually good saying this, however we aren’t and to be honest are one of the most desperate teams in the hunt for any of these guys. We just don’t have the chips to be able to risk that in my opinion

Highly doubt the Cubs do that trade with the Whitesox of all teams just to sign Harper.

If the market is only giving 200 why would anyone go 100 million more? If you can land him anywhere is the 225-250 range I personally think the Sox make out in the deal and have more money to play with for other free agents maybe making the Harper chase a little bit more interesting

It’s not an earth moving headline but I like it he could be a solid 7th inning guy, but if he’s signed to be the closer I’d take a pass on him
