Garfein said on the Score this morning that Boston may return as 1B coach ?

Excited for the press conference but let me be the first to come up with the slogan of Grifol’s Grinders as a slogan for his players lol

No idea missed that part of the conversation, just logged onto twitter and seems to be a lot of tweets out there with a hard no that TLR was not involved

TLR had a hand in the hiring? Lol…..

George Brett on the score now talking Grifol

And didn’t blow anyone else away except for Sox management/ownership

Billy Butler available? Mark Teahan needs a job, was he there in KC when Grifol was there

Your 2023 starting 2B?

Yeah it makes the hiring a little more than meh for me….we shall see

Charlie Montoyo bench coach—per Dan Bernstein

Best part of the hire is hopefully like it’s been mentioned before is to clean house of absolutely everyone on the coaching staff no matter who got the job

Is there a window anymore? Or are they waiving the White Flag with this hire and starting another rebuild. Another potential reason for not having Sox Fest?

They also interviewed and passed on him when they hired Matheny ….

He’s their yes man

#VoteForPedro…..

Ha….the Royals didn’t want him. Shouldn’t that tell you something?

I imagine the Sox interview with Mendoza went something like this…. Hahn: Can you bring with you Aaron Judge on the cheap Mendoza: Why the need? You have Sheets in RF. Hahn: You are now a finalist for the manager’s job. We will get back to you before Thanksgiving…

Venezuelan. Career minor leaguer in San Francisco. 42 year old with strong leadership traits — per the score

Nada

Yep same. I would not be excited about this at all. He had been interviewed by KC once before and they went with Matheny instead and he’s literally right there to fill the manager vacancy and they haven’t done it. Hard pass.

They were also floating Dave Martinez out there, don’t know if he has been connected in any way
