I still regret not actually going to one of the games. I'm from ohio and had to deal with years of the Indians winning the division here, then we make a run, I just got home from Iraq and had the cash, but didn't go. I'll probably regret it for a while.

I'd say we are #3 going in, +/- a spot or 2. And as much as we all as sox fans like to hate on Javy, he's strengthens the Yanks rotation overall. He's going to give them quality innings nearly every start, which you cannot count on from Joba or Hughes.

Pretty good article. A lot of fans have been asking for the big splash, but it just wasn't going to happen with us adding Peavy and Rios late last season. Just removing a lot of the dead weight from last years roster could be considered addition by subtraction.

I'm thinking we added Rios because 1. He's an extra base machine. As bad as Rios was in 09', only Paulie had more extra base hits than him. 2. Plus defense in Center, or Exceptional defense in Right 3. Brings a speed element to the lineup.
