  1. i would compare it to phegley. not sure if you know phegley's skill set yet though.
  2. this is my favorite quote ever. now i can justify the skill possessed by david eckstein.
  3. what about all of crede's mediocre seasons and all the times he got injured? the love for him on here seems pretty homerific.
  4. agreed. there are NO stats that can measure the scrappyness and grindyness of a player. after all, scrappyness wins championships.
  5. lol, judging individual players by wins. we might as well go resign timo perez. he was with the 2005 white sox AND the 2006 cardinals.
  6. i thought he meant his other hand would be up his butthole
  7. his hand would be on his dick most of the time
  8. Yeah, I am kind of disappointed that he doesn't have this 96 mph fastball that all the scouting reports said he has... I'm not sure if he will be the answer or not, but Clayton went one freaking inning today and hasn't gone too far in any of his recent starts. Something needs to change, might as well try out Poreda.
  9. Every time Clayton starts, our bullpen gets worked... we need to change the 5th starter.
  10. I would be really surprised if Richard starts next week. We cant keep working the bullpen every time he starts. Unless they bring up Carlos Torres or something, I see Poreda starting next week.
  11. Maybe arrogant wasn't the correct word choice. I didn't miss his point. Comparing what I said to the Shaq comment is just flat out stupid. The Shaq comment is sheer stupidity on Hawk's part. CC made it sound like it was challenging for Hawk to use his brain and think that maybe a football player takes more abuse than Shaq. Speaking off the cuff or not, it shouldn't be that hard to think of that. I don't see what is wrong with what I said. People have been saying Viciedo is too big to be at 3rd base. I said he has a similar build as Adrian Beltre, who is a GG 3rd baseman. So yes, there is still hope for a 20 year old Viciedo to be a good 3rd baseman. Comparing that to the Shaq comment is a joke.
  12. umm, i guess you completely missed the point of that post. People have been saying that he is too big to be a 3rd baseman. I was pointing out that he has a similar build to Adrian Beltre, who is a gold glove 3rd baseman. So yes, there is hope that he can become a good 3rd baseman. Good one Controlled Chaos.... Try being less arrogant when you post.
  13. I hope he didn't fall or something... Maybe he forgot to have his life alert on him...
  14. Im sure ozzie or joey had him play there in that situation... They did the exact right thing too. Soto was in a slump and was a dead pull hitter. So whoever it was that had him play there was wrong? Sure as hell looked right when they hit it right to Alexei. Plus, i somehow doubt thats the first time he has seen it in 50 years...
  15. yeah, id like him to stay at 3b. his build is similar to adrian beltre, so there is hope that he can be a good fielder.

  17. I guess it's not the fact that he is a homer, it's the fact that i find him obnoxious and stupid while being an extreme homer. "In my 50 years in this game, i have never seen a shortstop play that close to the line in a double play situation." *Soto hits a grounder right to Alexei and grounds into the double play. Hawk goes silent. "Shaq takes more abuse than any other athlete." Really hawk? Even more than Barry Sanders did? Even more than ANY running back? Good one hawk... "He cant hit a breaking ball, but-" "WELL WHO CAN?" That's just obnoxious. No need to interrupt stoney because he threatens you with his superior knowledge. I guess it's just my opinion. It seems like most people on here like him, i just find him a bit annoying.
  18. Hawk still manages to squeeze his 2 cents in while Stoney is talking, before he is even finished. "He cant hit a breaking ball, but-" "WELL WHO CAN?" Regardless, I'm glad we have Stoney now. DJ was hawk's b****.
  19. The fact that most other people besides white sox fans dislike him says something about him. He is a complete homer. I'd rather have a knowledgeable broadcaster who isn't such a complete homer. Growing up listening to Hawk, you become a homer too. I guess I think it would be better for the white sox fan youth to listen to somebody that knows what they are talking about most of the time rather than a senile homer.
  20. Most people besides white sox fans dont like hawk at all. Vin Scully alone tops what we have.
  21. Find that more obnoxious and annoying than his normal call. I don't like him as an announcer. Let me give an example why. "In my 50 years in this game, i have never seen a shortstop play that close to the line in a double play situation." *Soto hits a grounder right to Alexei and grounds into the double play. Hawk goes silent. Yeah Hawk, i'm sure that's the FIRST time its happened in your 50 years of baseball... Aside from stupidity such as that, he always make it seem like the umpires are against us. Most of the youth learn knowledge about the game from the announcers. I was one of them. Not until I got older did i realize how stupid some of the stuff he says is. Seems like I am alone here in the discontent with hawk, though.
  22. When the boogeyman goes to sleep at night, he checks his closer for Bacon Slayer.
  23. We arent getting Halladay. If we do, it would completely drain our minor league system. We arent serious contenders as it is, so i doubt kenny will do that.
