  1. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) quick adopt nick lemon hahaha
  2. QUOTE(VAfan @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) Does anyone think Javier Vasquez is half the pitcher Jon Garland is? I don't. In fact, I think it is pretty clear that Javier Vasquez isn't a match for any of our top 5 pitchers, including Brandon McCarthy. He was 11-15 in the National League, which always improves pitchers' numbers because they don't have to pitch to a DH. Basing a pitcher on his record when he played for one of the worst teams in baseball. Ok. Garland isn't like a million times better than Javy as you said. They are very different pitchers and I don't see how can you possibly call JG way better. JV will pitch more similar to his Monteal days than the NYY/AZ days, JMO.
  3. Yay, both of my AAP's gone in one offseason
  4. Haha I love not being around during trades and coming here and looking at all the people freak out when it's first announced.
  5. I like it. Sure El Duque was a clutch guy in the playoffs with a cool leg kick but c'mon dumping his salary is huge and he would not help us significantly anyway. Vizcaino was the last RH out of the pen and is replacable to say the very least. Chris Young, now that's a loss that hurts. I still like it. Although it may depend on what KW turns Garland into.
  6. HMMMMMMMMMM My favorite prospect gets traded, favorite by far Still gonna follow Young and he will be one of my favorite players But I kinda like this deal. HMMMMMMMMM
  7. This team really f***ing knows how to pull out games in the 4th...
  8. Ok I officially give up on Tyson 3 plays in a row 1. Gets manhandled by Shaq, gets called for a foul 2. Loses the ball off his foot 3. Just stands there as Shaq dunks all over him f***ing step up and play or sit your ass on the bench Tyson
  9. Good call on that timeout out of bounds you f***ing idiots.
  10. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Where's the Greatest Shot-Alterer in the League at? Still can't breathe? Yeah...that bum and his health problems, START BREATHING BETTER TYSON!

  12. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Good news for you Illini fans. Isiah Williams "refreshed" his commitment to the Illini after flirting with UNC for a while. PHEW
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Gordon is good, but I'm not sure he is good enough to add twice f***in finals studying - screwin' with my head. Lemme try again... Gordon+Cole+ROSE= Just gotta land Rose now.

  16. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) Hope you all enjoyed watching that game today, because that is exactly what is going to happen to the beloved Bears when the playoffs roll around. A team with no offense has no chance to change a game with their defense. You can point to the Ravens all you want but they at least could control the ball offensively. Meanwhile, our inept offense goes three and out repeatedly and holds the ball for about 25 minutes a game. Our defense gets let hung out to dry every game by our offense and the one time they struggle we jump all over them. Guess that is what "Bear Football" is all about. :rolly :headshake Don't freak out now. We already have proven we can beat 2 of the top 5-6 NFC teams. No one in the NFC scares me except Seattle. We lost to a tough AFC team, one we will not face in the playoffs.
  17. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) I can't believe that. Where is the holding? It was pretty damn obvious DJ held him right off the line all the way into the endzone.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Where do I stand in this? I'm neither, I like both. I just think its crazy to say one or the other is going to carry us to the Super Bowl this year. If we need our Qb to throw for 250 Yds and 3 Td's to win the super bowl, well we won't be winning the SB. Haha my bad, I was more mocking Josh becuase he blindy hates Rex and loves Orton so much. You are actually being very fair Jason.
  19. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) I love the Orton lovers: Orton Fan: Orton is so awesome we are winning with him! Grossman Fan: He has the worst QB rating in the league... Orton Fan: So stats don't matter, it's Lovie Smith/Ron Turner/George Halas/Michael Jordan's fault Orton can't complete over 50% of his passes and put up a QB rating over 80.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) I don't know. The offensive line has backed Orton pretty much all season. Kyle is tough, gets up and makes no excuses for his play. They like Rex too, but I really dont' think there is any internal argument right now. This team is unified, despite some stupid report that acts as if there is a mutiny in the lockeroom and that half the team wants Grossman back. I really don't think a QB change either way would be too big of a deal in the locker room. The defense/oline probably don't give a damn the only person I can see having an opinion is a guy like Moose who would like to have Rex back in.
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Clark was double teamed, I don't think he was exactly wide open. I've seen him make some really good throws and some horrid ones. He's a rookie and there is no reason to expect him to dominate. I also see no reason to expect Rex to dominate this year either. I'm not saying Clark was wide open but that was a makeable throw and it didn't happen. I really don't think there would be too big of a fallout from sitting Kyle for Rex it's not like there are a whole lot of guys standing up for Kyle in the locker room as it is.
  22. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Orton had a good game. The Offensive line was awful and the Receivers didn't help either. He went out and threw for 207 yards and no interceptions. Was he perfect? No, but this should've been good enough to win. 9 points is good enough for a win? Haha now you are blaming the offensive line, who are you Kyle's brother?
